Super Bowl 60 Odds & Best Bets – Friday, February 6

Varun's Best Bets

Austin Hooper Over 1.5 Receptions (+195) | Lucky Rebel
One of the few guys in this game that's been in a Super Bowl before is Austin Hooper. He played for the Atlanta Falcons during the 28-3 debacle of Super Bowl LI and this week he's got a chance to redeem himself. He saw 6 targets, caught 3 balls and scored a touchdown in that game.
Now that was a completely different team, and it was at a completely different point in Hooper's career. Hooper was Atlanta's top tight end at the time but now with the Patriots he's assumed that backup role and he's done exactly what's needed of him.
New England comes into this game as a 4/5 point underdog and my expectation is we'll need to see them move the ball through the air. Josh McDaniels is one of the most creative offensive coordinators in the NFL and in a game as big as this, I'm expecting some creativity.
Cooper Kupp Over 3.5 Receptions (+130) | Lucky Rebel
I've got a short pitch for this one. Cooper Kupp is a former Super Bowl MVP and owns the record for greatest receiving season in NFL history. I know this season he hasn't looked like that same Cooper Kupp, but he's also seen a big decrease in volume.
Playing alongside Jaxson Smith-Njigba has reduced his target share but here in the postseason Kupp's been incredibly important. Kupp's seen 11 targets in two playoff games against the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams, catching 9 balls for a total of 96 yards and a touchdown, which came against his former team.
- Divisional Round vs. San Franciso 49ers: 5 targets, 5 catches, 60 yards
- NFC Championship Game vs. Los Angeles Rams: 6 targets, 4 catches, 36 yards, TD
Kupp's cleared this line in both playoff games so far and against a stout Patriots run defense, I see him being heavily utilized once again.
Danny's Best Bets

Drake Maye Over 19.5 Completions (-104) | Lucky Rebel
As we get closer to kickoff, I can't help but notice a certain prop for a premier player. Drake Maye's completion prop is set at 19.5, with -104 juice appearing to be the cheapest vig available.
It appears very low for a player who almost won MVP, but when you look at the numbers, it's not as crazy as it may seem. Over his three postseason games, he logged 17 completions against the Chargers, 16 against the Houston Texans, and only 10 in Denver against the Broncos. Granted, the last game featured awful weather conditions, but it still doesn't exactly inspire confidence for many people looking at the over. But I am not many people in this situation.
We haven't seen Maye and the Patriots have their backs against the wall often this season, but in two of their three losses, Maye finished with 30, 28 and then 14 completions. The game where he had 14 came in the 21-0 blown lead against the Buffalo Bills, where the necessity to throw essentially disappeared for a large portion of the game.
New England will certainly aim to establish the run but should find very little success against a Seahawks run defense that allows the fewest yards per carry in the league at 3.8. Factor that in with the potential for the Patriots, as underdogs, to be trailing for much of this game. That could force Maye to throw early and often, putting him in position to clear 20-plus completions.
Kenneth Walker & Rhamondre Stevenson to Each Record 5+ Rush Yards in Each Quarter (+490) | Lucky Rebel
I want to have a little fun with our final prop for Super Bowl 60. Even though I expect the Patriots run game to struggle, they'll still look to utilize it and should be more than capable of getting their top tailback to at least five rushing yards in each quarter.
On the other side, even though this Patriots defense is seemingly improving, I still have my reservations – especially with Kenneth Walker operating as the featured back due to Zach Charbonnet's injury. Walker should have no problem getting to five rushing yards in each quarter as well.
At the very least, at +490, it's worth throwing a little pizza money on it.
