Alongside setting the tone for Super Bowl Sunday with a wager on coin toss odds, another novelty prop that consistently draws interest before kickoff is the length of the National Anthem. This year, Charlie Puth will perform the national anthem before Super Bowl 60.

Puth's catalog includes hits like "We Don't Talk Anymore," "Attention," "One Call Away," and "See You Again" featuring Wiz Khalifa, just to name a few.

So, is there any real value in betting this prop? Should bettors be looking toward the over or the under, and where is the number currently set? I'll break all of that down below in our Super Bowl 60 National Anthem bets and analysis.

Do Recent Super Bowl Anthem Performances Leave Any Clues for This Year's Picks?

For Super Bowl 60, most sportsbooks have this prop priced in the 119.5 to 121.5 second range. At Lucky Rebel, the line is set at 121.5, with the over juiced to -180 and the under offered at +135.

Despite the elevated number, recent Super Bowl anthem history indicates three of the past eight national anthem performances have gone over two minutes, with the average length checking in around 1:56 over that span.

This is obviously a unique prop bet, and information can occasionally leak. Limits are often low, and there can be notable line movement right before kickoff due to so-called "inside information." As always with novelty props, tread lightly and bet responsibly.

Super Bowl 60 National Anthem Best Bets

Unfortunately, I don't have any insider information to share, but we can still break this down as best we can.

Based on the pricing at Lucky Rebel, I don't see any value in laying -180 on the over. Not only is the juice egregious, but historically, as noted above, these anthem props have tended to land under the number.

Now of course that doesn't automatically make the under the correct play – each performer brings a different style and tempo – but it does matter that the over is typically the public side. That public bias often inflates the line, creating a more appealing case for targeting the under.

Initially, I leaned toward a longer Super Bowl 60 anthem performance. Charlie Puth gives off the perception of an artist who enjoys embellishing in the moment. He frequently posts clips of himself producing and singing, showcasing his musical skill while walking people through the process.

It wouldn't surprise me if he leaned into that, put his production chops on full display, and stretched the performance a bit to make the most of the moment. And hey, he's a younger guy – I'm sure he's got plenty of friends telling him to extend it so they can cash their tickets on the over.

I'm only half joking.

In all seriousness, though, I don't see strong value in the Super Bowl 60 national anthem market unless you're targeting the under at a plus price. Between the inflated number, the heavy juice on the over and the idea of fading the public, the under is likely the only side worth considering if you feel compelled to place a bet on this prop at all.
