After an impressive road win at Florida, can UCF pluck off another power conference opponent on the road to advance to the NIT quarters? Today, they will face Oregon in a second-round matchup in Eugene (7:30 pm ET, ESPN).

Last Wednesday, the Knights (19-14) went to Gainesville and shut down the Gators in an impressive 67-49 win. That sets up a matchup with the Ducks (20-14), who are one of two remaining top seeds left in the NIT bracket.

Who will move on to a quarterfinal matchup with Wisconsin? Read on for our UCF vs Oregon prediction and picks.

Will Shorthanded Oregon Roll Again?

Dana Altman Oregon basketball UCF NIT preview prediction
Will Dana Altman's Ducks rout a second straight NIT opponent?

Despite being without N'Faly Dante, Jermaine Cousinard, and Will Richardson, their top three scorers, the Ducks dominated UC Irvine in an 84-58 win on Wednesday.

It was quite the display, especially considering that the Anteaters had won by 13 in Eugene when the teams met in November.

Rivaldo Soares led the way with 21 points and 10 rebounds, Nate Bittle recorded 17 points, and Tyrone Williams had 12 points and 11 rebounds off of the bench.

Oregon, who went into the game shooting just 31.9% from three for the season and averaging seven made threes per game, were 12 of 28 (42.9%) from outside against UC Irvine, with Bittle hitting three of his five attempts.

Richardson is out for the season, while Couisnard and Dante may or may not be able to play against UCF. However, the performance Oregon put in without that leading trio provides a lot of reason to feel confident that the Ducks can get it done against the Knights.

UCF is 5-8 SU and 8-5-0 ATS as an underdog this season, and they have covered the spread in their last two games. That last tidbit is notable, given that the Knights have covered in three or more consecutive games just twice this season.

On the other side, Oregon is 16-5 SU and 11-9-1 ATS as a favorite this season. In their last four games as a favorite, the Ducks are 4-0 SU and 3-1-0 ATS. So, betting trends are certainly in favor of the home team here.

Prediction & Picks for UCF vs Oregon: Oregon to win

Picks for UCF vs Oregon: Oregon -3.5 (Best Value: BetMGM) & Oregon team total over 70.5 (Best Value: BetOnline)

Having Couisnard and Dante back tonight would be a major boost for the Ducks, but I'm riding with them even with the knowledge that they may be shorthanded again.
