March Madness 2022: NCAA Men’s Tournament Bracket, Schedule & Scores

For many, the most wonderful time of the year is over nine months away. But if you love college basketball (or betting on college basketball), March Madness is the most wonderful time of the year.
After four months of exciting action, upsets, twists and turns, clutch performances, and big shots, the 2022 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Tournament is underway. The first four rounds of the tournament featured many upsets and thrilling moments. What is in store for the final three games of the tournament?
North Carolina Set for Final Four After Ending Baylor’s Repeat Hopes in Upset-Filled East Region

Since Florida went back-to-back in 2006 and 2007, there has not been a repeat national champion at the highest level of college basketball.
Thanks to North Carolina, that drought will continue for another year.
Baylor entered this year’s tournament as the top seed in the East Region and trounced Norfolk State in their opener. But in their second-round matchup with North Carolina, the Bears were up against it early, and it only got worse from there. Midway through the second half, Baylor was down 25 and headed for an early exit.
But the Bears inexplicably rallied to force overtime with a late three-point play. However, the Tar Heels were not rattled by Baylor’s epic comeback and controlled overtime on the way to a 93-86 win.
The Tar Heels went on to take the East Region title with a win over #15 Saint Peter’s, who became the first #15 seed to reach a regional final with upsets of #2 Kentucky, #7 Murray State, and #3 Purdue. The Peacocks were outmatched by North Carolina in the Elite Eight, but it was a tremendous run for the MAAC champs.
March Madness Schedule Returns to “Normal” in 2022
Following the cancellation of the tournament in 2020 and last year’s unique schedule due to the entire event taking place in Indiana, we are back to a normal March Madness schedule.
The action got underway on Tuesday, March 15 with the First Four once again taking place in Dayton, Ohio. Then, after the field gets whittled down to 64 in Dayton, the first round tipped off on Thursday, March 17.
This year’s tournament and the college basketball season will wrap up on Monday, April 4 with the championship game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, the location of this year’s Final Four.
Only one #1 seed is in this year’s Final Four, with the top-seeded Kansas Jayhawks emerging unscathed from the Midwest Region. But that doesn’t mean we’ll see a bunch of plucky underdogs in NOLA.
In fact, it will be a historic occasion with four of the biggest names in the game in action in Duke, Kansas, North Carolina, and Villanova, who have each won multiple national championships.
Let’s take a look at the 2022 men’s March Madness bracket and schedule. For March Madness odds, picks, and predictions for every game in the tournament, we also have you covered.
