The Angels and Rangers have no faced off 4 times this year, splitting the first four 2-2.
The Angels are turning to their bullpen for tonight's contest, with reliever Roansy Contreras getting the start. Contreras has started two games for the Angels this year, and he's given up 3 or more hits in both; despite never pitching more than 3 innings.

I can't emphasize enough how bad this Angels bullpen is. They rank bottom 7 in all categories and this Rangers line up has been on fire.
Over the L15 days the Rangers rank 3rd in batting average (0.276), 5th in RBI (65) and have hit 18 home runs collectively.
The team is collectively batting 0.308 in the month of July with 8 home runs in just 7 games.
Texas has won 5 of their L7 games and a lot of it has to do with these bats finally coming alive.
Guys like Marcus Semien and Adolis Garcia haven't been able to replicate their play of last season but the tides may be turning just in time.
Semien recorded 2 hits last night and the Rangers average 4.5 runs per game on the road.
