The race for the NL West is going to be one of the most interesting story lines we see unfold, between now and the end of the season.
The Dodgers were off to a hot start and it looked like they'd be running away with the division, but it looks like the Padres and Diamondbacks have other ideas. Mookie Betts is finally healthy and looking to help his team secure the division.
Los Angeles is 12-6 this month and they've won 6 of the 9 games Mookie's played. They've now won back to back games against the Mariners and look to complete the sweep tonight.
The Mariners will have their Ace on the mound tonight, Logan Gilbert. He's got a 2.96 ERA this season and he's looked phenomenal all year. The Mariners look like they're ready for the post-season but it's because of this pitching staff, not the bats.
Seattle leads the league in strikeouts and have had a really hard time scoring runs this year. Tonight they look to prevent the sweep and upset the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium.
