Sunday Night Baseball is in the Bronx for for the final game between two of the best in the MLB. The New York Yankees boast the best record in the AL at 45-21, while the Dodgers are 4th overall but 2nd in the National League at 41-25. However, this series in New York has been all about Los Angeles.

The Dodgers have won both games in New York so far and with Tyler Glasnow on the mound, they are certainly looking for the sweep. However it will be tough facing Yankee starter Luis Gil, who has lost just one start all year long. With two studs like this on the bump, will runs be at a premium this game? Or will we see some fireworks on a Sunday Night in New York?

Can Glasnow Complete Dodgers' Sweep?

We have two absolute studs on the mound tonight. Both Glasnow and Luis Gil are right handed studs that have incredible ERAs and sub 1.00 WHIPs. My mind immediately leans towards the under, but of course, we have to take a closer look.

Glasnow will be making his 3rd straight road start, and he's had some trouble recently. For starters, he's allowed a home run in each of his L2 road starts, and is 0-1 in those L2 games. Glasnow has allowed runs in his 4/5 road starts this season, with a 2-1 record so far. He's coming off a loss where he got little run support, but that has not seemed to be a problem for the Dodgers who put up 11 runs last night.

The Dodgers numbers drop slightly against RHP, but they are the 3rd best hitting team on the road, batting .260 as a squad. As for the Yankees, their numbers increase slightly against righties but falls a bit at home. Clearly this has been the case this series, as 4 runs across two games is not going to get the job done.

Luis Gil has allowed just 3 runs since May, spanning his last 7 starts. His numbers are absolutely incredible since then.

He's coming off a six inning shutout performance against the Twins in which he allowed just 1 hit and 3 walks. We will absolutely be backing Gil and the Yankees to avoid the sweep at home, but I also will have beans on the over.

Best Bets: LAD/NYY Over 7.5 (-115) Bovada

Regardless of whether or not Juan Soto plays, I do think we see some fireworks. We've heard the "juiced balls in June" narrative, we know the MLB wants eyeballs on their nationally televised games, especially one involving two of the best teams in the league, and some of the most exciting players. Even with these pitchers on the mound, I do think we see some runs on this week's edition of Sunday Night Baseball.

It's Shohei Ohtani, it's Aaron Judge, it's (hopefully) Juan Soto and all of their teammates hitting home runs tonight. However I will be also be sprinkling on the Yankees to win outright at home and avoid the sweep. The Yankees are 21-10 at home this season, and certainly need to turn things around. With or without Soto, I like the Yankees to get to Glasnow and produce some runs.
