While turkey and stuffing are passed around the table on Christmas Day, the NFL has scheduled three huge Week 16 matchups for Dec. 25. Right in the center of it all is the latest chapter of an NFC East rivalry when the New York Giants go head-to-head with the Philadephia Eagles at 4:30 p.m. ET.
After some brief flirting with success, the Giants' winning streak ended at three games with last week's 24-6 loss to the New Orleans Saints on the road. The Eagles could also use a win after a 20-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks extended their losing skid to three.

Despite the NFL campaign now being in Week 16, this is the first Giants-Eagles showdown in 2023. After facing off on Christmas Day, the NFC East rivals will play at MetLife Stadium in Week 18.
Nevertheless, there's a good reason why the Eagles are massive 13-point favorites this holiday season. Not only have they been one of the best teams while the Giants are one of the worst, but Philadelphia is also 16-3 SU in its last 19 games against New York dating back to the 2014 campaign.
The Eagles have swept the Giants in each of the last two seasons, winning four straight games by a 21.8-point average, which includes a 38-7 win when they last met at Lincoln Financial Field back in January.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that New York has lost 10 straight trips to Philadelphia, having not won at "The Linc" since a 15-7 victory back on Oct. 27, 2013. To put things into perspective, Giants QB Tommy DeVito was barely 15 years old when that happened.
DeVito's emergence was a big reason why the Giants won three straight games, but he came back down to earth in last week's loss. The rookie signal-caller only completed 58.8% of passes for 177 yards without a touchdown while being sacked seven times.
While the Eagles' defense has been as dominant as in past years, they're still a top-10 team when it comes to QB hurries and knockdowns while ranking 11th in total sacks, meaning DeVito will likely be under pressure throughout the night.
I can also see Philadelphia's offense getting back on track this Monday. After being held to a 16.3 PPG clip over the last three games, the Eagles face the Giants, who allow 24.1 PPG (8th-most), which jumps up to 28.1 PPG on the road (4th-most).
Besides, Eagles QB Jalen Hurts will likely feel more like himself after dealing with an illness last week.
While upsets are a part of football, I can't see the Eagles losing — especially with the playoffs near. New York has proven time and time again that it can't win in Philly and Monday's game won't be any different. Back the Eagles to deliver Christmas joy to their fans in the form of a lopsided win.
A 13-point spread is tough for most teams to cover, but the Eagles can do it. After all, New York doesn't fare well against the spread, going 2-6 ATS on the road this season. The Eagles also have a plus-12.3 average scoring margin across 10 straight home wins over the Giants, so I'm confident that they can score enough to win by more than two touchdowns again.
