The Yankees are our west visiting the Colorado Rockies for a three game series! The home town team was able to get the victory last night by a score of 7-2, but tonight we have our prediction and best bets for game two of this series!
These two teams aren't very familiar with each other, and this is only their first meeting since the 2019 season. In that series, the Yankees took two out of three from the Rockies, and all were high scoring affairs.
Will we see plenty of fireworks in Coors tonight?

Yankees vs Rockies Best Bets
In this exciting matchup, I think we see some runs. I mean, it's Coors Field.
The ball simply flies differently out there.
However getting all the way to 12 runs might be a bit of a stretch for two last place teams. Yes, the Yankees would lead the AL Central or be in 3rd place in nearly every other division, but they rank 19th in runs per game, and are 28th in hits, averaging just 7.6 per game.
Connor Seabold is on he bump for the Rockies, and I think he could get shelled by these Yankee hitters.
I like New York to jump out to an early lead here against Seabold and essentially never look back.
It's a bit of a long shot, but I think we could see a big reward if it works out.

Clarke Schmidt over 4.5 Strikeouts (+100) BetOnline
Clarke Schmidt isn't necessarily known for being a strikeout pitcher. He only puts up about 0.99 K/Inning, ranking amongst the middle of the pack in the MLB.
However, the Rockies love to swing and miss against RHP, especially recently.
This season, Colorado is 11th in K% against righties, but over the past month, they've struck out the 2nd most, over 26.5% of the time.
Now, Schmidt has only cleared this number in 9/19 starts this year, and he's only done it once in the past seven games. However those Rockie K% numbers are too big for me to ignore.
I think Schmidt can mow them down if he goes at least 6 innings.
For even money, I'll bet on Schmidt to strikeout 5 batters fairly quickly today.
