The Baltimore Orioles are up in Philadelphia taking on the Phillies in the first of a three game series. The Orioles just over 1st place in the AL East, while the Phillies are tied for 2nd in the NL East.
Baltimore is just 2 games ahead of Tampa Bay, and the entire division is only separated by 8.5 games.
This is a much different story than the NL East.
The Braves lead the division, and they do so by a large margin. The Phillies and Marlins are both 11.5 games behind Atlanta, while the last place Nationals trail by 23.5 games.
The Phillies are fighting for a Wild Card spot, while the Orioles are looking to win the AL East.
Tonight we get quite the showdown between these two teams.

Orioles vs Phillies Prediction & Best Bets
The Orioles just took 3 of 4 from the Rays to take control of the division. Baltimore is also 7-3 since the break, including sweeping the Marlins.
The Phillies started off 4-1 after the All Star Break, but then lost their next four games. Yesterday they pulled out an extra innings win in Cleveland before traveling home for this series.
Despite his great ERA, Christopher Sánchez has yet to record a win this season. He only has seven starts, but he has not gotten the run support he needs to record the victory.
Will he be able to finally get one tonight? Or will Dean Kremer dominate and lead the Orioles to another win?
The Pick: BAL/PHI Over 9.5 (-110) Bovada
I think we see plenty of runs on this one. The Orioles have scored at least 4 in 9/10 games since the break, and they average nearly 5 a game throughout the season.
This puts them in the Top 10 offensively.
The Phillies are no offensive slouch themselves, averaging 4.51 runs and putting them in the top half of the league
Kremer has a 10-4 record, but gives up nearly 5 runs per nine innings. I think the Phillies have the capability to get to him early and put up some runs in this one.

Adley Rutschman over 1.5 Total Bases (+124) Bovada
Rutschman doesn't fair too well on the road, but he's a switch hitter that smashes lefties.
He bats .269 overall, but .292 against LHP. He has 6 doubles and 3 home runs off of lefties this year.
Adley started out hot after the All Star Break, clearing this line in 5 of his first 6 games back, including a hit in seven straight.
He cooled down against the Rays, but still doubled last game to clear this line.
I think we see Rutschman get back in his groove today and knock us a couple bases for this price.
