The Cleveland Guardians are in the Windy City, but they aren't facing their division rival White Sox. The Guardians take on the Chicago Cubs in the first matchup of this three game, inter-league series.
We've sifted through the betting odds to make our prediction and find the best bets!
Cleveland sits in 2nd place in the AL Central, but are only 39-41 on the year. The Guardians are 19-22 on the road, however they are 7-3 in their last 10. Last night they lost to the Royals, so as they travel to Chicago, they will want to get back on the right foot.
The Cubs "London Hangover" is still upon them as they got swept by the Phillies in their own backyard, bringing them to 20-20 on the year at Wrigley Field. Chicago dropped to 4th in their division, but are still only 5 games out of 1st place in the tight NL Central.
The Cubbies have now dropped four straight games, and they definitely need to turn the ship around immediately.

How Will Cal Quantrill Come Back?
Cal Quantrill hasn't pitched since May 30th. He's making his return to the bump exactly a month after his last start, but how will he do?
His two games prior to landing on the IL were both losses.
Quantrill gave up 8 Earned Runs on the same number of hits in just 4.1 innings at Camden Yards. The week before he gave up 6 earned on just 4 hits in 4 innings. This was in Cleveland against the White Sox where he also walked 3 batters.
Cal Quantrill has only had a few quality starts all year, and only one has been on the road. That was in Detroit, one of the bottom tier offenses in the league.
The Guardian's success at Wrigley will likely depend on Quantrill's performance, and there's plenty of question marks surrounding that.
Cleveland vs Chicago Best Bets
Cubs -1.5 (+115) BetOnline
The Cubs will turn the ship around, and I think they can get to Quantrill early. Coming back off of an injury is tough, especially on the road. Especially when you only have 1 quality road start this year. Especially against a team that is 11th in runs and 9th in On Base Percentage.
I think the Cubbies rattle Quantrill on their way to victory, and I think one guy really gets under his skin.
Even if Quantrill comes out firing, I'm betting on these Cubs bats to get out of their slump at home.
Chicago only scored 7 runs in their last series, I think we might see that many from them tonight.
Cody Bellinger over 1.5 HRR (-105)
Bellinger gets a hit in 69% of games this season, and he's currently on a five game hit streak. Quantrill allows lefties to hit nearly .250, and Bellinger already hits .261 on the season.
Historically, Bellinger has 10 plate appearances against Quantrill. Cody bats .333 with 3 hits, a double, an RBI, and a walk.
For just about even money, I think this is a great spot for Bellinger to continue his heater and cash our bet. The Cubs played the Guardians in a three game series last year where Bellinger had 2 hits in two of those games.
