The Los Angeles Dodgers are at Fenway Park taking on the Red Sox in game one of a three game weekend series.
This will be the only meeting between these teams this year who are in very different spots in the their division.
The Los Angeles Dodgers have the NL West all but wrapped up, as they lead the Diamondbacks by a staggering 12 games. The Dodgers are 78-48 overall and 35-27 on the road this season.
However, the Red Sox are battling for a last minute playoff spot. They are currently 4th in the AL East, trailing the Orioles by 11.5 games. But, they are just 2 games behind the Blue Jays for 3rd place.
In the Wild Card race, the Rays or Orioles have the 1st spot virtually wrapped up, and the Mariners and Astros are tied for the 2nd spot. Trailing them are the Blue Jays and Red Sox, who at this point need a miracle to make the playoffs.
The Red Sox are 3.5 games out of a playoff spot right now, and there are three teams ahead of them.

Look at that score. The Red Sox put up 17 against the Astros last night.
Now they travel back to Boston to host the mighty Dodgers, who are 19-3 in their L22 games.
That Dodgers scored 15 in their last two games in Cleveland, and took 2 of 3 from the Guardians on the road.
Los Angeles is obviously a World Series contender, and they are 7-2 in their last 9 road games. However there are some Red Sox hitters with good numbers against Lance Lynn.
I like these two offenses to have a night on Apple TV+ and maybe get some juiced ball.
The Pick: LAD/BOS Over 10 (-110) Bovada

Triston Casas over 1.5 Hits, Runs, & RBIs (+105) Bovada
In three at bats against Lynn, Casas is batting .667 with a single and a home run and 2 RBIs.
His batting average rises to .266 against RHP, where he has 13/16 doubles, and 17/20 HR.
He bats 5th in the lineup, which is a great spot to bat with guys on base. Casas clears this line in 48% of home games, and has done so in 5 of his L8, totaling 18 HRR.
He has at least 1 HRR in 8 straight home games, and has cleared this line in 12 of his L17 home contests.
Against Lynn and at home, I like Casas to get over this number in some way, shape, or form.
His splits improve both at home, and against right-handed pitching, this is an easy bet for me regardless of the result.
