The battle of LA takes place tonight in Anaheim as the Dodgers take on the Angels on the West Coast. We've got our prediction and best bet for the matchup on MLB Network.
The Dodgers took game 1 of this short series last night by a score of 2-0, so the Angels are more than motivated to even the score tonight. With Shohei Ohtani on the mound, anything is possible.
Los Angeles Dodgers: Michael Grove (0-2, 8.10 ERA)
Los Angeles Angels: Shohei Ohtani (6-2, 3.29 ERA)

Dodgers vs Angels Prediction & Best Bet
I think we see some fireworks out of Los Angeles tonight. With Michael Grove on the mound for the Dodgers, I like the Angels bats to come alive.
They rank 9th in both Runs and Hits, so going up against a guy with an 8.10 ERA sounds like plenty of offense to me.
On the flip side, we know what the Dodgers are capable of at the plate, but also what Ohtani can do from the mound. Regardless, I think we could see 5 runs from either squad tonight.
Now, one could lay the juice betting over 8.5, but instead I'm going to bet it at 9. You can find Over 9 at even money, and with some push equity, I think it's the way to go with this total.
It's also the showdown of the City of Angels, who doesn't want to root for runs?
Player Props
Because I think there will be tons of offense, obviously we have some player props to target as well. Here's who I'm looking at today.
J.D. Martinez over 1.5 Total Bases (+125)
J.D. Martinez was smashing baseballs at the beginning of the season, but has since cooled off. He still hits this number in 53% of games on the season, and 68% on the road.
Martinez has netted 2+ bases in 7 of his L10 road games, plus he fairs well against Ohtani. In 10 plate appearances, Martinez bats .333, knocking 2 doubles and a sinlge for 2 RBIs all time.
Martinez is on a 4 game hit streak, although before that he went 4 games without seeing a hit. In this matchup against Ohtani, I think Martinez gets the best of him and knocks two bases for us.
Brandon Drury over 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
I urge you to line shop for this one, as I've seen it being offered at the price of -105. It makes sense since Drury is currently on a 6 game hitting streak. He also bats .268 against RHP whom he faces tonight.
Drury clears this line in 56% of home games this year, and is seeing the ball well. He's hit this number in 5 of his L6 and 6 of his L8.
Over the L10 games, Drury has 14 hits, including 6 multi-hit games. One of those he even had multiple extra base hits.
It's hard not to back this guy at the moment, so I'll gladly do it again tonight.
