This is the Braves home opener of the season, and the Diamondbacks first game on the road. With Strider on the bump, will we see the home town team run away with an easy win?

Can Strider Shutdown Snakes?

In his first start of the season against the Phillies, Strider pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 runs and striking out 8 batters along the way. Once again, Strider seems to have the stuff.

The Braves bats didn't come alive until later in the game, so he did not pick up the win, however giving up just 3 hits is nothing to be ashamed of. But can he do the same thing at home against the Diamondbacks?

Strider is clearly a strikeout pitcher. He posted 1.51 Ks per inning last year, and lead the league in Swinging Strike Rate.

However, he does seem to give up runs against the Snakes, and I am a little scared of their bats.

While both teams bats have certainly produced this year, I'll be staying off a side and total, and will be targeting some props.

Austin Riley Over 1.5 Total Bases (+105) BetOnline

Riley had a few great games to start the season, but has been quiet in the past two. I think tonight at home against this lefty is the perfect time for him to bust out.

His lifetime average jumps from .270 against RHP to .290 against lefties, plus he performs better at home as well.

Since 2022, Riley has cleared this number in 48% of games but 51% of home contests, and he does very well against Arizona.

Riley has cleared 2+ bases in 10/12 games against Arizona, posting 4+ bases in 7 of those matchups. He's also posted 3+ bags in 4 straight games against the Diamondbacks.

I love this matchup for Riley, so I am betting on his bases individually, plus throwing him in a hit parlay.
