Astros vs Red Sox, Odds & Picks: Dingers at Fenway cover

The Astros are at Fenway Park taking on the Red Sox in game two of this three game season finale.

So far this season, these AL rivals have faced off 5 times, with the Astros leading the season series 3-2 after winning 13-5 last night.

With two games remaining and both of these squads in a tight race for the American League Wild Card, this is a very important game for both teams.

Let’s break it down!

Astros vs Red Sox Best Bets

I think we see plenty of runs between these two teams tonight, but taking over 10.5 is not ideal for me.

If it were 9 or 9.5, I’d give it some more thought, but I could see this ending 6-4 easily.

Regardless, I do have some player props that go along with this gamescript.

Bello allowed just 1 run on 9 hits last week against the Astros as he pitched, seven innings and struck out 4.

France pitched against Boston in that same game, and he wants to forget it. In just 2.1 innings, France allowed 10 ER on 11 hits and 3 walks.

I think we see something similar tonight.

Player Props

Alex Verdugo over 1.5 Bases (+105)

Astros Red Sox Odds Picks

Verdugo only clears this line in 41% of games, but does so in 49% of home games. Plus he rakes against France.

In 3 at bats, Verdugo is 2/3 with a single and a home run. He bats .295 against RHP, and 11/12 home runs have come against them.

Verdugo has cleared in 5 of his L8 games, totaling 24 bases in that stretch with 3 HR and 2 doubles.

He’s cleared in 3/5 against Houston with 14 total bases, including a home run and 2 doubles.

Kyle Tucker over 1.5 Bases (-105)

Astros Red Sox Odds Picks

Tucker hits this line in 50% of road games this year, and he smashes RHP.

Batting .280 against RHP, Tucker has 19/30 doubles, and 15/26 HR against such pitchers.

In 3 at bats against Bello, Tucker is 1/3 with a single and a walk. Nothing special, but he has had success before.

Tucker has cleared 2+ bases in 53% of his L30 games, and 63% of his L30 on the road.

He’s hit in 3 straight games, totaling 9 bases with a double and a HR.

Tucker has cleared this number in 7/L10 road games, and 4/L5 road games.

In his L10 away from home, Tucker has 29 total bases, 5 Home Runs, and a double.

The dude is red hot, and I’ll bet on him to continue that trend tonight.
