We've got the Battle of LA in the City of Angels tonight, as both MLB ball clubs face off for the 2nd time this season! The Angels lost both games at home to the Dodgers in mid-June, both by a score of 2-0.
Tonight's game is in Dodger Stadium, and Shohei Ohtani and company will look to get their revenge on their city rival.

Early Battle of LA Recap
The Dodgers were able to win both games against the Angels earlier in this season. It was only two games, but both games were in Anaheim at Angel Stadium.
The Dodgers have now won eight consecutive games against their city rivals, and I'm not sure that anything will change tonight.
The Dodgers boast a 27-16 record at home and have won 5 of their last 7 in Dodger Stadium. The Angels are 22-24 on the road, and are coming off a three game series in San Diego where they got swept by the Padres.
Turning the ship around against their "Big Brother" on the road will probably be a tall task for the Angels.

Straight up, I think the Dodgers do it tonight, and I think they do it in dominant fashion.
Tony Gonsolin pitched against the Angels back in 2022. In that game, he went 6.1 shutout innings, only giving up 1 hit and 2 walks. He also sat down 6 batters.
He posts 1.00 K/Inning against the Angels in his career, and has given up 4 runs on 8 hits in two starts.
With a 3.69 ERA on the season, I think Gonsolin shoves tonight in front of his home crowd. He wasn't too great against the Royals last start, but we know what he is capable of, and I love his career numbers against the Angels and at home.
They've burned us plenty, but I'll take the Dodgers again tonight.

Martinez has been in a bit of a slump the past few games, but I love betting on guys to come back to life.

Including 4 home runs in his last 10 contests.
He bats .244 against RHP, and has a walk and a single in three plate appearances against Griffin Canning.
For just about even money, I'll bet on Martinez to get back on track at home.
