FIFA World Cup
We have finally entered the Round of 32 in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Technically, we are down to the last 31 teams in this competition as Canada knocked off South Africa yesterday at SoFi Stadium. Today we have three more matches, with a couple of them seeming like they should meet later than the opening knockout round. Nevertheless, let's dive in to our favorite picks for today's World Cup Matches.

Brazil vs. Japan FIFA World Cup Picks

Marquinhos and this Brazilian defense might have their hands full against Japan this afternoon
Best Bet: Brazil/Japan Both Teams to Score No (-128) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Call me crazy, but this could be a scoreless draw through 90 minutes. Japan knows they are outmatched on the attack. I expect them to sit back and brace for impact. We saw how good their defense could be when facing Tunisia, winning 4-0 in a shutout. They battled back from behind to draw with the Netherlands and earn a point, who is somewhat comparable to Brazil.
If Japan wants to win this match, their best option is holding on for dear life, and hoping to defeat the Brazilians in a penalty kick shootout after extra time. If they can at least get there, it'll turn into more of a coin flip, but ultimately I have Brazil moving on. Remember, this bet is settled after 90 minutes, so a scoreless draw that turns into a 1-1 draw before heading to PKs would still be a winner for us.
Come on, defense.
Germany vs. Paraguay FIFA World Cup Picks

Kai Havertz and Germany take on Paraguay in the Round of 32 for the World Cup
Best Bet: Germany -1.5 (+107) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Germany put out a very strong lineup against Ecuador in their last group stage match, despite already winning the quad. They ended up losing, but Ecuador had all the motivation in that match. Could that loss be demoralizing to the Germans? Perhaps, but I think they will come very focused and ready to advance in this contest.
They face a Paraguay side who plays stellar defense, but facing this German attack is going to be the toughest test they've seen this competition. I see them conceding a quick one (probably within the first 15-20 minutes), and likely letting Germany find another one or two before this match is final.
Netherlands vs. Morocco FIFA World Cup Picks

Frenkie de Jong and the Dutch have never won a World Cup, despite being in the final three separate times
Best Bet: Netherlands to Advance/Under 3.5 (+105) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
The Netherlands have a very tough Round of 32 matchup against Morocco. That's no secret. These teams rank No. 6 and No. 7 in the world currently, and this feels like it could easily be a quarterfinal or even a semifinal contest. I'll be backing the Netherlands to move on in a low scoring match.
They can advance however, a win in regulation, an extra time victory or by winning the PK Shootout, as long as the match stays under 3.5 total goals in 90 minutes. The Dutch have shown they have a ferocious defensive presence, and watching Morocco struggle to create against Scotland worries me for them. The Netherlands are stacked on the attack, in the midfield, and on the backline, where I think they win this game by keeping Morocco contained.
Ultimately, I see the Dutch winning 2-1 in regulation time, which will make this wager a little sweatier than I would hope.
