So far this week, we've had success targeting these MLB divisional matchups. We cashed the over in Cleveland vs. Detroit on Monday, and yesterday we took a stab at the Brewers over the Cubs and walked away a winner. After placing wagers in the AL and NL Central, tonight we move to the AL East, where the New York Yankees host the Toronto Blue Jays for the third of four games in this series. Let's get right into our favorite MLB picks for tonight.

Trey Yesavage and the Blue Jays are just 8-16 on the road this season - Blue Jays Yankees Picks

Trey Yesavage and the Blue Jays are just 8-16 on the road this season

The Yankees lead this series two games to none, and now have a chance to secure a series win with a victory tonight. Throughout the season, these teams will meet plenty of times, but the Blue Jays need to be focused on tonight's contest. They have now dropped two straight, and have fallen to 11.5 games back in the division, although they are in third place.

The Yankees sit in second in the AL East, just three games behind the Tampa Bay Rays. They've now won two straight, but are 10-8 during the month of May. Will they be able to rally around their right handed stud tonight?

Cam Schlittler and Trey Yesavage get the starts for their team, so let's look at their stats and find some wagers in this game.

Cam Schlittler has been shoving, and like Jacob Misiorowski of the Brewers, I am not willing to fade him. He leads the MLB with a 1.35 ERA and is second with a 0.78 WHIP. Although his splits actually decline at home, he's been throwing fire recently. Over his last six starts, Schlittler has allowed just three earned runs. For all you math folks, in Schlittler's last 32.1 innings, he has a 0.84 ERA, a 0.81 WHIP, and is averaging almost one strikeout per inning.

The Blue Jays are an abysmal 8-16 on the road this year. Over the last two weeks, the Blue Jays rank No. 24 in the MLB in batting average and second worst in the league in wOBA. Compare that to the Yankees, who are in the top half of the MLB in wOBA during the same two week period. Quite simply, the Yankees have been better.

They lead the American League in run differential, while ranking second in runs allowed as well. The Blue Jays are one of the few remaining teams who have yet to score 200 runs this year. The offense has not been producing like it needs to be. I think that continues tonight as Schlittler shoves, resulting in the Yankees covering this run line.
