Following a ten-game road trip, the Baltimore Orioles are back home this week to face a couple of AL West opponents. First up are the Texas Rangers, with a Dane vs. Dean matchup set for Monday's opener.

The swing started rather well, as Baltimore won three of four against the White Sox in Chicago. But they weren't able to keep the momentum rolling as they lost two of three at Seattle and Minnesota to come away with a 5-5 trip.

For the Rangers, this is the final series of a three-series, nine-game road trip. After taking two of three against the Kansas City Royals, they took one of three against the Mets.

Dunning's Run Support Struggles Likely to Continue in Baltimore

Dunning is coming off of his best month of the season performance-wise, as he posted a 3.74 ERA in six June starts. And after recording only three quality starts in his first ten starts this season, he had four last month.

In his most recent start, Dunning had just his second quality road start in eight road starts this season, as he allowed two runs and six hits in six innings against the Royals last Wednesday.

But while things are trending up for him with regards to his own performances, the same can't be said for the team's results in his starts. Texas lost all six of his starts last month and has lost each of his last eight starts since a 6-5, 10-inning win over the Los Angeles Angels on May 18.

In an empty June, the biggest issue was a lack of production at the plate. In his six starts, the Rangers managed all of 11 runs and didn't score more than three runs a single time. His two most recent starts were both 2-1 losses, first to the Nationals and to the Royals.

Things are unlikely to improve in this matchup. Eight road starts for Dunning = eight losses for the Rangers, and only once has Texas managed more than three runs in one of his road outings.

And with Kremer rolling right now, things look even more ominous. In his last four starts, the 26-year-old righty has allowed just two runs (one earned) in 23.2 innings, and he hasn't given up a run in his last three starts.

Texas Rangers vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction and Best Bets

Rangers vs. Orioles Prediction: Orioles to win

Rangers vs. Orioles Best Bet: Orioles ML (-108 at BetOnline)

The Orioles failed to score more than three runs in any of the last five games of their road trip, so they aren't exactly lighting it up right now themselves.

But with Kremer on a strong run and how things have gone for Dunning, the home team is great value for the win. In fact, this is one of my favorite bets on Monday's MLB slate.
