Dodgers vs Cardinals Prediction
Last night, the Dodgers shutout the home team on their way to a 5-0 victory. This was much different from Thursday night's game, where the Cardinal's bats couldn't be contained as they won 16-8.
Tonight, we have two bigger names on the mound who haven't lived up to expectations. Noah Syndergaard will start in just his 2nd game back since leaving with a finger injury. In his first start back five days ago, Syndergaard gave up 2 Earned Runs on 4 Hits in just 4 innings. However, he did manage to strikeout 5 batters.
On the road, against a Cardinals team whose bats can get scorching hot at a moment's notice, I think St. Louis hitters might have a very fun time tonight.
I think the books projections in this game are spot on. I think we see a 5-4 victory, but I couldn't tell you who wins. However, I do have a player prop worth looking at.
Dodgers vs Cardinals Picks
Nolan Gorman over 1.5 Total Bases (+125) BetMGM
Gorman has only faced Syndergaard three times in his career. He has failed to get on base each time. Seems like a good time for something to change.
Gorman has hit this number in 6 of his L10 games, and has recorded at least one total base in 10 straight. He's only hit in 2 of his L5, but he had 7 and 9 total bases in those two games both with three hits, along with 1 each in the other three.
Now, as mentioned, Syndergaard is coming back from an injury, and has been less than impressive this year. Syndergaard allows lefties to hit .263 this year.
Gorman is hitting .324 on the year, and .325 against Right-Handed Pitchers. He only bats .250 against LHP, so he clearly facing a righty will help him out.
For plenty of plus money, I like Gorman to knock two bases tonight.
