Two National League teams meet for not only their series finale, but their final meeting of the regular season as well. The Philadelphia Phillies are out in Ohio taking on the Cincinnati Reds. So far, this series is tied up at one game a piece, but the Reds lead the overall season series three games to two. Tonight, the Phillies have a chance to win this series and get some revenge after the Reds successfully took two of three in Philly back in May. The Phillies have been closing the gap in the NL East the past few weeks. At one point in May, the Braves led the division by double digits games, but now they are only three games ahead of both the Phillies and the Miami Marlins. This team from Philly is clearly vying for the top of this division and it is certainly in play at the moment. They just need to keep stacking wins.
As for the Reds, they find themselves at the bottom of the NL Central. This team is a full 15.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers for first place, plus they are four games behind the Pittsburgh Pirates, who are currently in fourth. It's been a character building year for the Reds this season, and things won't get easier facing the Phillies who are coming off a loss.

Jesus Luzardo has insane splits on the road, and I think he is in for a good outing tonight
Phillies vs. Reds Prediction: Phillies Win and Cover, Under 9.5
Best Bet: Phillies -1.5 (-105) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I'll back the Phillies in this spot tonight, and to me, it is as simple as fading Brady Singer. Despite him pitching slightly better in June compared to the rest of the season, I don't think Singer can be proclaimed as "back". He has allowed multiple earned runs in his last two starts, both resulting in him taking the loss. In fact, he has just one win since April as a starting pitcher.
The Reds are 1-10 in his last 11 starts, losing seven of those games by at least two runs. Typically I like to get a plus sign next to my run line wager, but at nearly even money, this is still a go. The Phillies hit significantly better against right handed pitching, and I see them producing plenty of offense against Singer.
As for Luzardo, he pitches much better on the road. His ERA drops to 1.54 and his WHIP down to 1.18, which are very good advanced analytics. He's allowed just a single earned run in three straight starts, four of his last five, and just six total earned runs in those last five outings. I see him shoving tonight and leading the Phillies to a victory.
