Rafael Devers and the Giants need a win to avoid the sweep on Sunday Night Baseball
The Mets lead the NL East by just half a game over the Philadelphia Phillies, and they are currently on a nice streak. Not only are the Mets going for the sweep tonight, beating the Giants the past two days, but they're also on a six game winning streak overall. New York gets to host the Giants next weekend, but surely San Francisco will try to pick up one win tonight.
San Francisco is 28-22 at home this season, sitting seven games out of first place in the division and just two games out of second place. They'll likely have a bullpen game as newly acquired relief pitcher, Matt Gage is slated to start.

Pitching Matchup

San Francisco Giants: Matt Gage (0-0, 0.0o ERA, 1.14 WHIP)
Don't get too in love with Gage's stats, cause he's thrown less than 10 innings this season. I don't see him going more than a couple tonight, as the Giants try to avoid the sweep.
New York's batting average takes a significant hit against lefties, dropping from .242 to .229, but again, Gage shouldn't be out there long enough to make much of a difference. The Mets will see plenty of different arms from the San Fran bullpen.
As for the Mets' starter, Kodai Senga is coming off a rough outing, but prior to that allowed just four earned runs in his last five starts. I see him bouncing back tonight.
The Mets successfully pull off the sweep tonight and keep their winning streak alive. I'll admit, the Mets' batting numbers are slightly down the past couple of months and after the All Star Break, but they keep winning games.
They started out 0-2 coming back from break, but have turned it on for six straight wins, and are looking for a second consecutive sweep tonight. They are outscoring opponents 29-14 on this winning streak, and need to hold on to their lead in the NL East.
All of Senga's pitches are above league average, besides his fastball which is still faster than most in the MLB. He has enough pitches in his arsenal to confuse hitters and keep them guessing, thus giving me confidence that he bounces back with a solid performance tonight.
Give me the Mets to give him the run support he needs to get this team another win.
