Let us head out west, where the weather is nice and the player props are even better. It will be 60 degrees in San Francisco tonight with winds under 20 miles per hour blowing out to dead center. Giants outfielder Mike Yastrzemski draws a fantastic matchup. He enters today's slate with an Elite rating on Batters-Box.com. In 23 games with that rating, he records at least one hit 60% of the time and goes over this prop in 47% of them. At home, those numbers improve—he has logged a hit in 72% of his 11 Elite-rated games and cleared this prop in 54%.
So far this season at Oracle Park, the lefty outfielder has a sub-.300 average but a strong .921 OPS. He went hitless last night and now looks to bounce back against Arizona starter Brandon Pfaadt. Pfaadt carries an Above Average pitcher rating but has poor numbers in average hitter ISO and ground ball percentage—two key areas we want working in Yastrzemski's favor. On the season, Pfaadt holds a 3.28 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP, but through three road starts, his ERA jumps to 6.06, with opponents batting just under .300 against him.
