Tuesday, Sept. 26's MLB schedule sees the start of a three-game Cubs vs Braves series at Truist Park. The two clubs previously met for three games at Wrigley Field back in August, resulting in a pair of wins for Chicago, leaving Atlanta looking for revenge.

The Cubs head into tonight's showdown riding a three-game winning streak after sweeping the Colorado Rockies at home over the weekend. Meanwhile, the Braves are coming off an 8-5 win over the Washington Nationals that saw outfielders Kevin Pillar and Forrest Wall combine for two home runs and four RBIs.
Can Chicago win its fourth straight game? Or will Atlanta get revenge for last month's series?

Cubs vs Braves Game Preview
While the Cubs won their last series against the Braves, they had the advantage of being at Wrigley Field. Now that the action shifts to Truist Park, things will be tougher for David Ross' club.
After all, the Cubs are currently on a five-game losing streak on the road. Chicago's main issue in those losses was the inability to limit the opposition's offense, allowing at least six runs in each defeat.
Unfortunately for the visitors, the Cubs have also lost eight of their last 10 trips to Truist Park. Making matters worse is that they were outscored by an average of 2.8 runs during that span. With Atlanta averaging 7.3 runs in its last four games, Chicago can't afford to let this game slip away, too.

With how talented the Braves' lineup is, the Cubs need a strong performance from LHP Justin Steele. On one hand, the 28-year-old has been one of the MLB's best pitchers, going 16-5 with a 3.00 ERA and 1.167 WHIP in 29 starts.
On the other hand, Steele has struggled lately. He's given up two homers and 12 earned runs on 15 hits over his last nine innings pitched, resulting in a dismal 12.00 ERA during that span. It doesn't help that the Braves are 22-9 against lefties this season.
Speaking of the home team, Atlanta's Bryce Elder also hasn't been his usual self on the mound. The former 2020 fifth-rounder has played to an 8.31 ERA in his last two starts after surrendering eight earned runs over 8 2/3 innings.
Considering how Elder also gave up five runs on seven hits in an 8-6 loss to the Cubs last month, time will tell if he exacts revenge tonight.

Cubs vs Braves Prediction (Sept. 26)
The Braves are World Series favorites and will prove that with a win tonight. The Cubs just haven't been playing well on the road, especially when it comes to Truist Park. As long as Elder can put together five or six solid innings, Atlanta will be well on its way to victory.
Prediction: ATL 5, CHC 4
Bet: ATL ML (-130 on BetOnline)
Cubs vs Braves Player Prop
As for a Cubs vs. Braves player prop I like, I'm going with Justin Steele allowing over 2.5 earned runs.
As great as Steele can be, there's no ignoring that he's allowed six earned runs in back-to-back outings. He also surrendered three ERs when he faced the Braves last month and could do so again considering that no one slashes better vs. lefties than Atlanta (.288/349/.524).
Barring a complete turnaround, I won't be shocked if Steele allows at least three earned runs again.
Bet: Justin Steele Over 2.5 Earned Runs (-115 on BetOnline)
