Miguel Vargas leads the White Sox in most hitting categories this season
This is the second meeting between these teams this season. In late May, the White Sox hosted the Rangers. Chicago took the first two games but the Rangers successfully avoided the sweep. This weekend the Rangers got to play host, and they've won the first two so far in this time around. Now it's Chicago's turn to avoid getting blanked in this series.

Aaron Civale makes his first start since being traded to the Chicago White Sox
Fading the White Sox on the road isn't anything new this season. They are just 7-30 away from home this year, but there's more to it. Aaron Civale makes his first start for the White Sox. Anyone know how he ended up there?
He requested a trade from the Brewers and they decided to flip him the bird and send him to the worst team in the American League, a team less than two hours away. This guy is either going to shove like the second coming of Cy Young, or he's getting blown up. I'll bet on the latter.
Civale has allowed 2+ earned runs in three of his last four, and he hasn't lasted very long, pitching less than 5.1 innings in every start. There is a chance we get a few at bats against the bullpen if we need runs late. Regardless, he's been getting ripped apart, giving up 12 hits in his last two outings along with a home run and three walks.
Texas is just 35-36 on the season, but are an incredible 22-13 at home this season. I'm always down to fade the White Sox, and fading a new pitcher in his opening start after a "spite trade" is right up my alley. The Rangers hit just .228 overall but that jumps to .233 against righties and they are hitting .255 as a team in the month of June.
Give me Texas to put up three quick runs this afternoon.
