The Cubs routed the Padres last night on their way to a 7-1 victory. All 7 Chicago runs came in the first three innings, which included 3 separate home runs. After the first three innings, the game was scoreless.

Tonight, Blake Snell is on the mound for the Padres and he will be looking to have a solid outing. Snell is coming off a good start, where he gave up just 3 hits in 6 shutout innings while striking out 7 batters. However, the Cubs bats are arguably better than the Marlin's.

I think we see a Cubs victory tonight thanks to their bats. I also expect Kyle Hendricks to have a decent outing tonight on the bump.

I side with the Cubs to take tonight's game in San Diego. Blake Snell has not been himself since becoming a Padre, and really only has one soldi outing this year.

The Cubs bats caught fire last night after getting shutout on Saturday. I think this team keeps that rolling tonight off of Snell.

Blake Snell pitched in Chicago against the Cubs on April 25th. In that start, Snell pitched 5 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits. He posted 5 strikeouts, but also 5 walks.

I like the Cubbies to take this one tonight.

This is a bit of a gamble, as Swanson's actual line is posted at 0.5 juiced to -180. I'll be on him getting 2 bases today, and here's why.

For starters, Swanson already bats .276 this season, and that number jumps to .300 against lefties, whom he faces tonight.

Swanson has had one base in 8 of his L10 games, and he's cleared this number in 5 of his L10.

Against the Padres this year, Swanson has at least one base in 4/6 games, including four straight. He also has 2+ bases in 3 of those 4 games.

Dansby bats 2nd in the Cubs lineup, and managed to go 0/1 with 2 walks against Snell earlier this year. Tonight I think he can notch a couple bases for us for plus money.
