Jacob Wilson is hitting .369 for the A's this season
The Royals lost Friday Night 6-4 despite trying to come back late in the game, and were shutout yesterday, losing 4-0. However, this team is relentless, I still believe they are better at home, and I think they come out with some fire today. Kansas City has an off day tomorrow to travel. They've now lost all five games on this home stand, surely they want to give the fans something to cheer about before leaving again.
Matchup Information – Athletics vs. Royals – June 15
Venue & Location: Kauffman Stadium (Kansas City, MO)
Based off the juiced total, the books are clearly expecting some runs in this matchup. The Royals have not contributed to the over much this series, but I think that changes tonight. Both teams toss out lefties on the mound this afternoon, and that's good news for the A's. However we will see if it matters much.
The Royals are not getting swept again, and I'll bet they win this game by two. Kansas City has only been swept twice this season, ironically both times by the New York Yankees. They've lost five straight at home, and desperately need a win before leaving for another road trip.
They have won the final game of a series to avoid the sweep six times this season, and are now facing a sweep at home for a second consecutive series. Even though they couldn't beat New York, they made it a one run game. Against the A's today, I see them handling business.
Noah Cameron finally got ripped up after five fantastic starts. It brought him back down to Earth, and now I think he's ready to be a lethal weapon on the mound for the Royals. As for Springs, he's allowed 3+ earned runs in four straight starts, totaling 15 earned runs in that stretch. Although his splits improve on the road, it might be because he plays at that Mickey Mouse ballpark in Sacramento. He's given up 3+ runs on the road to the Angels, Blue Jays, White Sox and Brewers. The Royals should be able to give Cameron the run support he needs.
