Arizona has now dropped three straight games, forcing them to be 10.5 behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NL West. They need as many wins as possible to help close that gap.

We are backing the Diamondbacks tonight on the road, but mainly we are fading Kyle Leahy. The Cardinals pitcher has had a rough month of June so far. He has a 6.00 ERA and a 1.60 WHIP in just three starts, plus he has allowed at least three earned runs in three straight and four of his last five outings. While the Snakes aren't the most ferocious hitting team in the MLB, they shouldn't need too many to beat Leahy tonight, as Eduardo Rodriguez takes the mound.
The lefty ranks sixth in the MLB in ERA this season, posting a 2.45 and a 1.23 WHIP. His ERA is up to 2.86 through four starts in June, but it was 1.60 for the entire month of May. Over his last 55.2 innings, Rodriguez has a 2.12 ERA and a 1.14 WHIP. That's enough of a sample size to give me confidence in his stuff tonight.
The Diamondbacks are 11-2 in his last 13 starts, and he has allowed just 13 earned runs over his last nine outings. He should shove tonight, even against the Cardinals, so all we need is the Snakes to do their part offensively.
