FIFA World Cup

The first two rounds of the group stage are officially complete. Now we move into the final set of group-stage matches!

Yesterday was a frustrating day for the props. Harry Kane was voided after England played to a scoreless draw. Croatia also decided to take the first half off, which cost us our second play.

That's in the past. Today brings a fresh slate and a few spots that really stand out. Let's dive in.

Featured Plays

Amar Memić 1+ Shot on Target

The 25 year old will look to contribute for Bosnia in a crucial group stage match.

This is a value play, plain and simple.

If you shop around, you'll quickly see that this number stands out. Through two World Cup matches, Memić has recorded two shots and one shot on target. He easily could have had another if he hadn't skied one over the bar.

Those numbers align with his typical profile. He is generally a 50-60% shooter on target and averages between one and 1.5 shots per match.

Qatar's defense has been vulnerable throughout the tournament. Opponents have put 26 of 32 shots on frame against them. They have also allowed seven shots on target from just ten attempts in their two matches.

Both teams need a win here. That should create a more open and aggressive game than we've seen so far.

Memić spends much of his time in midfield. However, he consistently joins attacks and makes dangerous runs into the box. He is also willing to shoot from distance when opportunities arise.

At 2/1 odds, I only need a couple of attempts. Given his historical shot-on-target rate, the value is difficult to ignore.

Play: Amar Memić 1+ Shot on Target (+200)

Ismael Saibari 2+ Shots on Target

Morocco enter this match level with Brazil on points. The two sides also drew their head-to-head meeting earlier in the group stage.

The difference is goal differential. Morocco trail Brazil by two goals and still have a chance to finish atop the group.

That means they should come out attacking from the opening whistle.

Saibari has been Morocco's primary attacking threat throughout the tournament. He has scored in both matches and continues to find dangerous positions.

Haiti have not allowed many shots on target during this World Cup. However, stronger opponents have consistently created chances against them.

Brazil put five shots on target against Haiti. All five came in the first half before Brazil eased off after building a comfortable lead.

Saibari is averaging just over one shot on target per match in this tournament. Last season, he averaged 1.68 shots on target per game at club level.

Morocco need goals and Saibari should be heavily involved. If they push forward as expected, he should have multiple opportunities to test the goalkeeper.

Play: Ismael Saibari 2+ Shots on Target (+105)

Thapelo Maseko 2+ Shots

South Africa will need a result in their final group stage match to keep their World Cup hopes alive.

This may not be the flashiest name on the board, but the value is hard to ignore.

South Africa impressed me in their last match. South Korea, meanwhile, have been one of the more disappointing teams in the tournament.

I still expect South Korea to respond here. If they do, South Africa will likely spend portions of this match chasing the game.

That game script should benefit Maseko.

He is averaging 3.21 shots per 90 minutes at this World Cup. He has been one of South Africa's most active attacking players.

Most of his attempts come from outside the box. That is exactly where I want exposure against this South Korea defense.

South Korea have done a good job limiting quality chances in their penalty area. As a result, opponents have been forced into more long-range efforts.

Maseko is the player South Africa trust in those situations. The young winger has plenty of confidence and never hesitates to pull the trigger.

If South Africa are forced to attack, I expect Maseko to be one of the busiest shooters on the pitch.

Play: Thapelo Maseko 2+ Shots (+110)
