We go into some pivotal matches for for Group G and Group H today. Every single team in these groups is on 1 point, with every team drawing each other in the first game week. We are on a level playing field right now, meaning all of these teams need big wins to secure their spots in the group.
I expect the top dogs, especially Spain and Belgium to roll here today and put themselves into the driving seat for qualification into the round of 32.

Kevin De Bruyne To Score or Assist
Similar to Spain, I expect the Belgians to score alot and take control of their group here. This starts with their best player, Kevin De Bruyne who will be on the ball for the entire game in my opinion. He takes every set piece, he free kick and corner for this side and his creativity will be needed to unlock the Iranians. They are able to be exposed, their backline did not look compact vs the New Zealand side.
De Bruyne may be getting older but he still is the main creator in this side, he leads the Belgians in chances created and goal involvements over the last 30 games. This Iranian's side defense looked very shaky against a worse attacking output nation and I think De Bruyne causes chaos for their backline.

Lamine Yamal Assist
Lamine Yamal missed most of the first Spain game, where they failed to breakdown the Cape Verde side. He will be in action here today for Spain who need a big win against an Saudi Arabian side. They are expected to sit back and defend, so Yamal will need to break them down.
This is where Lamine Yamal comes in the picture for me. He is excellent at breaking down defense, beating his man down the line and very good with set piece delivery. His goal has value as well, but I think he is going unlock this low block and find his team mates for an assist, priced very nicely at plus money.
It won't be easy, but I don't expect another stinker from the Spanish side. They were one of the favorites for this tournament and this is simply a must win game for them. I think they score early and often and Lamine is all over the scoresheet.

Federico Valverde 1+ Shot on Target
Real Madrid midfielder, Federico Valverde, leads Uruguay in the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Uruguay are another one of the sides coming off a disappointing first game. We know the gameplan for the Cape Verde side. They will sit back and defend in a back 5 with 11 men behind the ball. I think this favors Valverde who loves to rip shots from outside the box and is one of the best ball strikers in the world.
Valverde is the leader in shots on target for the Uruguayan side, he has 1+ SOT in 8 of his L11 starts. He had 2 SOT, both from outside the box, against the Saudi Arabians and I expect the same here. If you can find a prop for outside the box SOT, I like that as well here.
