How far can Captain America take the United States in the 2026 FIFA World Cup? World Cup Futures

FIFA World Cup

The knockout stage is in full swing!

Tonight brings one of the biggest matches of the tournament so far. Team USA takes the pitch in a win-or-go-home showdown against Bosnia. England face DR Congo, while Belgium and Senegal square off in what should be a fascinating matchup.

Let's dive into today's favorite player props.

Ismaïla Sarr 1+ Shot on Target

Ismaila Sarr and Senegal are going to have their hands full tonight trying to contain Erling Haaland of Norway - Norway Senegal Picks

Can Ismaila Sarr and Senegal pull an upset against Belgium tonight?

I lean toward Senegal in this matchup.

I simply do not trust Belgium's back line. As a result, I think Thibaut Courtois could be in for a busy evening.

Belgium beat a struggling New Zealand side but still conceded a goal. They allowed six shots and two shots on target in that match.

They followed that up with a scoreless draw against Iran. Belgium conceded seven shots and three shots on target in that game.

Their opening match against Egypt also raised concerns. They drew 1-1 while allowing 14 shots and three shots on target.

Despite being favored in every group-stage match, Belgium failed to dominate. They also benefited from one of the softer groups in the tournament.

Senegal had a much tougher path. They advanced from a group that included France, Norway, and Iraq.

This team is dangerous in transition and looked impressive against Norway. In my ratings, Norway are a stronger side than Belgium.

Sarr enters this match in excellent form. He has scored in back-to-back matches and continues to be one of Senegal's biggest attacking threats.

He is averaging 1.83 shots on target per 90 minutes at this World Cup. Last season, he averaged 0.87 shots on target per 90 minutes for Crystal Palace.

Whether he plays centrally or on the wing, Sarr consistently finds dangerous spaces. That's especially important against a Belgium defense that has allowed 67% of its shots on target from inside the penalty area.

I expect Senegal to create chances. If they do, Sarr should be heavily involved.

Play: Ismaïla Sarr 1+ Shot on Target (+100)

Christian Pulisic To Score or Assist

How far can Captain America take the United States in the 2026 FIFA World Cup? World Cup Futures

How far can Captain America take the United States in the 2026 FIFA World Cup?

We have to back Captain America in this spot.

It's a World Cup knockout match, and Pulisic looked ready to make an impact in his return against Turkey.

I had concerns about the injury. Those concerns disappeared quickly after watching him off the bench.

Pulisic played only 32 minutes but generated 0.58 expected goals and 0.28 expected assists. He looked sharp, explosive, and fully engaged.

Barring any setbacks, he should return to the starting lineup. This United States attack is far more dangerous when he is on the field.

We've only seen limited minutes from him recently. Still, we know exactly what he can do when healthy.

Against Paraguay, a defensive side I rate higher than Bosnia, Pulisic was outstanding. He created two big chances in just 45 minutes of action.

Bosnia can be aggressive defensively. If they fall behind, they may leave themselves exposed on the counterattack.

That is exactly the type of game state where Pulisic thrives.

The atmosphere should be electric with this match being played in the United States. The books are also projecting multiple goals from the Americans.

If the U.S. find the net a few times, I like Pulisic's chances of being involved in at least one of those goals.

Play: Christian Pulisic To Score or Assist (-110)
