Even the Ivory Coast gave them some trouble in the Round of 32. But now they have moved on to the Round of 16, where they take on Brazil at MetLife Stadium. Erling Haaland looks to continue his incredible World Cup debut, but Brazil stands in his way
Just looking at the raw stats from these two teams, we should expect plenty of offense. Brazil has averaged 2.25 goals per game through four matches, while Norway is scoring 2.50 of their own. The problem is, this Norwegian side is also conceding two goals per match, while Brazil has allowed just two all tournament long.
The Brazilians have two shutouts, against Haiti and Scotland, but this could be a real test for their back line. Haaland is the best striker in the world, and he has the skill and talent to change a game by himself. If I'm Brazil, the last thing I want to do is come into this match overestimating my Round of 16 opponent. Giving up a quick one could give Norway the confidence they need to pull off this upset.

Let's discuss. For starters, this is the full game over 1.5, not just Brazil's team total. A 2-0 victory is fine with me. A problem arises if Norway gets on the board. If that's the case, we'd need a 2-1 win, which we could've gotten for about +170. Yes, I think both teams score, but I am going to take a little extra cushion, and we still get a plus sign next to our wager.
Brazil's moneyline and team total over 1.5 are both playable by themselves, but I'm getting greedy. Norway's backline gave up a goal to Iraq, two to Senegal, and four to France. Brazil has the firepower to find two by themselves. The test will be if Brazil's backline can at least contain Haaland, and I think they will.
Norway is netting 2.50 goals per match, but they are only averaging 2.08 expected goals, meaning they are scoring more than normal. Brazil's defense will help balance that out, as I see them winning either 2-0 (+825), 2-1 (+725) or 3-0 (+1300). Regardless, Norway shouldn't score twice, and Brazil will, resulting in our same game parlay successfully crossing the finish line.
Prediction: Brazil Wins 2-1 (+725)
