While we are still in the midst of an international break in the soccer world, there is still plenty of action on Wednesday's slate. There are several UEFA Women's Champions League matches, as well as some other smaller leagues and tons of international friendlies. However, as always, I will stick with what I know. We have a standalone MLS contest on the East Coast tonight, as the New York Red Bulls host St. Louis City SC. Now keep in mind, some personnel will be missing from both squads due to the international break, but nevertheless, our analysts bring you their expert soccer picks in this match.

The Red Bulls will be missing one of their key pieces in leading scorer Julian Hall, who has 10 goals through 26 appearances. The 18 year old got called up to play with Cavan Sullivan and the United States Men's National Team for their friendlies. Good. I think that is phenomenal, because these kids are going to be in a prime position to succeed in the World Cup in 2030. It's great that Pochettino is getting them senior team minutes before hand, adding comfortability and confidence to their game.

However, that certainly hurts the hosts in this one. Are they completely out of it? Of course not. But considering where these teams are on the table, it's an easy pick for me.

Best Bet: St. Louis City SC ML (-106) BetOnline

Even on the road, I will back St. Louis here. They are playing way too well to fade at the moment, and they have the much fuller squad compared to the Red Bulls. St. Louis currently sits in fifth place of the Western Conference, tied with the Houston Dynamo at 44 points but with a match in hand. A win tonight would actually propel them above Houston and San Jose in points, placing them tied with FC Dallas for second place in the conference. However, they would have the nod on goal differential over that team from Texas.

While they have not quite locked up a playoff spot, a win tonight would put them in a really good position with just seven matches to go. As for the Red Bulls, they currently sit in eighth place in the East. Yes, that is good for a playoff spot. The problem, is that they are tied with New York City, and FC Cincinnati on points. They are also down on goal differential to those teams, but as of right now, they are ahead with one more win on their record. Motivation should be there from both sides, which makes me lean towards a low scoring game.

Ultimately, I think St. Louis will be able to flex their muscle for a cheap win on the road, stealing three points that the Red Bulls desperately need. It was a poorly timed international break for New York, and I think they suffer the consequences tonight at home.

Prediction: St. Louis City Wins 2-1 (+750)
