The 2026 FIFA World Cup begins on Thursday, and we at Betting News have put out plenty of future bets, group winners, and golden boot award wagers. However, we condensed them all into one piece, giving you EVERY SINGLE WAGER that I've placed for the biggest tournament in sports. Let's get into my entire portfolio of World Cup Picks.

2026 FIFA World Cup Futures and Golden Boot Award

Michael Olise and France are the overall betting favorite in the 2026 FIFA World Cup
Odds are subject to change, listed price is what I booked at the time. All risking one unit unless otherwise stated.
FIFA World Cup Outright Winners
- France +500
- Spain +500
- England +750
- Portugal +1000 (0.5u)
- Netherlands +2800 (0.25u)
Yes, five future winners is probably a bit overkill. However, we're only risking 3.75 total units in this market, and assuming we get at least one through the hoop, we will earn a small profit. I predict plenty of chalk in this tournament, especially early on. As far as "Dark Horses" go, the Netherlands is as far down the list as I'm willing to look.
Sure, there may be a Cinderella or two like we saw with Morocco in 2022, but more than likely, the top dogs will finish them off in the quarterfinals and beyond. When the lights are shining the brightest, the best players in the world will step up for their country.

Harry Kane and England are looking to bring the World Cup home this summer
Golden Boot Award
- Harry Kane (England) +700 (0.5u)
- Mikel Oyarzabal (Spain) 14-1 (0.25u)
- Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal) 22-1 (0.25u)
- Ousmane Dembele (France) 33-1 (0.25u)
We went with Harry Kane for the chalk, and three other long shot wagers. It's tough not to take Kylian Mbappe in this market, but we've also never had a back to back Golden Boot winner in the World Cup. Kane is the main scorer for England, Oyarzabal should excel in a weaker group without Lamine Yamal for a few matches, Ronaldo and Portugal could easily net 10 goals combined against Congo and Uzbekistan, and at over 30-1 I had to take a flyer on Dembele, despite Mbappe being the go to guy for the French.
2026 FIFA World Cup Group Stage Futures

Raul Jimenez and Mexico kick off the World Cup against South Africa on June 11
Group Winners
- Group A: Mexico +100
- Group C: Morocco +500 (0.5u)
Mexico is the strongest team in their group and gets to play all three matches on their home soil. I am leaning into the home field advantage helping El Tri. As for Morocco, I believe they can surprise Brazil in their group stage opener. This Moroccan team returned nine players that helped them get to the semifinals in 2022, they should be more than fired up to make another run.
Dual Forecast
- Group F: Netherlands/Japan Top 2 (+150)
This bet above is my favorite of the entire tournament. Read the full breakdown here.
Exact Dual
- Group B: Switzerland 1/Canada 2 +225 (0.5u)
- Group H: Uruguay 1/Spain 2 +500 (0.5u)
- Group J: Argentina 1/Austria 2 +145
Uruguay over Spain is more of a value play than anything, as I assume both make light work of the other two teams in their group. Then, going into the final group stage match, I'd happily have a Uruguay moneyline ticket for +500, which is how I'm reading this wager.

How far can Captain America take the United States in the 2026 FIFA World Cup?
Stage of Elimination
- United States Eliminated in Round of 32 (+170)
I'm as patriotic as they come, but I'm also realistic when it comes to American soccer expectations. I have plenty of issues with the squad Pochettino selected, specifically with the lack of depth at midfield. Tyler Adams and Weston McKennie are going to be absolutely gassed after the group stage. And unless we win the group, I do not like our potential matchups in the first knockout round.
To Advance from Group Stage
- Bosnia & Herzegovina NOT to Advance (+175)
Finishing Position
- Ivory Coast to Finish 2nd in Group E +190 (0.5u)
- Ghana to Finish Last in Group L +225 (0.5u)
Team Props
- Colombia to Score in All Group Games (-125)
Colombia shares a group with Portugal, Congo and Uzbekistan. They play the Portuguese last, and I am viewing this bet as taking Colombia's team total over 0.5 goal against Portugal. They should easily score against the first two teams, so all we need is one in the back of the net as they play to win the group.
