NFL Preseason Week 2 Preview & Best Bets: Jets & Giants Defend MetLife

Week Two of the NFL Preseason is upon us already with a full slate of games spread out from Thursday to Monday.
This week we have:
- 1 Thursday Night Football game
- 2 under the lights on Friday Night
- 11 games on Saturday between at 1-10pm Eastern
- Stand-Alone games Sunday and Monday Night
We are back.
With a full board of pigskin, I've got several picks throughout the weekend.
This week I hope to see a few more starters than last week, but as always, keep in mind that these are preseason games.

- Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Jets
- Kansas City Chiefs @ Arizona Cardinals
- New Orleans Saints @ Los Angeles Chargers
NFL Preseason Best Bets
Last week we picked a game from each day, but this weekend I just found spots that stuck out to me.
After going 0-3 on Thursday and Friday last weekend, we swept the next two days to have a profitable Week 1.

We are up a little on the season thanks to Charger and Raider outright upsets.
Let's see if we can build the momentum into this week and into the regular season!
Friday Night Lights
Carolina Panthers @ New York Giants
Matchup Information
- Venue & Location: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)
- Date: Friday, August 18th, 2023
- Kick Off: 7:00pm Eastern
- Broadcast: NFL Network
The Pick: Giants -3 (-105) Bovada
The Panthers got skunked by the Jets last week, 27-0. Matt Corral played most of the snaps, with Bryce Young playing the first three drives.
This week I think a Giants team plays for Tyrod Taylor, and maybe even a Danny Dimes appearance.
This New York team made the playoffs and won a game last year, so there hopes are high for the season.
Jalin Hyatt is a very exciting rookie, and could easily be one of Jones favorites targets behind Darren Waller.
Point is, this week at home, I think the Giants come to play.
Saturday Super Slate
Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ New York Jets

The Pick: Jets -2.5 (-115) Bovada
New York looked rock solid in there Week 1 game at Carolina.
They held the Panthers scoreless, and Zach Wilson was 14/20 passing for 123 yards and a touchdown in the first half.
The New York Jets just made some headlines, signing Dalvin Cook to a 1 year deal worth $8.6 million. I'm sure he will get at least a touch or two this second week of preseason.
Give me the Jets at home to cover a field goal, making me a huge NY fan this weekend.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Arizona Cardinals

- Venue & Location: State Farm Stadium (Glendale, AZ)
- Date: Saturday, August 19th, 2023
- Kick Off: 8:30pm Eastern
The Pick: KC/ARI over 40 (-115) Bovada
We know what Mahomes and company are capable of, especially in the state of Arizona.
I don't expect him and the 1st stringers to play more than a quarter, but we could see a couple quick scores if that's the case.
Clayton Tune got most of the reps for the Cardinals but it was 4th stringer David Blough who stole the show.
In just 90 seconds, he led Arizona down the field in 10 plays to score a touchdown with just 2 seconds left on the clock. They gambled and went for two, and it paid off.
I think we see a shootout between these two teams on Saturday.
Sunday Night Football
New Orleans Saints @ Los Angeles Chargers

- Date: Sunday, August 20th, 2023
- Kick Off: 7:05pm Eastern
- Broadcast: NFL Network
The Pick: Chargers +3 (+100) BetOnline
The Saints moved the ball incredibly efficiently against the Chiefs last weekend. Derek Carr looked very solid, and so did Alvin Kamara.
The back ups played good as well, finding a way to get the win even if it was at the last second.
But the Chargers looked outstanding.
They beat the Rams 34-17, and Easton Stick looked great. He threw for 109 yards and a touchdown, finding Quentin Johnston for the score.
The defense was sound, and I think the Chargers could win this one outright as I bet we see the starters for a little bit longer.
