The third and final storm we're fading this week in college football is Boston College, alongside Colorado and Washington State. The Eagles fans stormed the field after their 23-19 win over Michigan State, but you might be thinking, "Wow, that must have been a huge win!" Well, not quite—Boston College was actually a five-point favorite. This is the same team that recently upset Florida State by double digits as 17-point underdogs, so they know what a big win feels like.

In reality, Boston College was outplayed for most of the game; a fourth-quarter comeback sealed by a late interception secured their victory. The stats show that Michigan State dominated, racking up over 350 total yards, including 241 through the air. The Spartans' four turnovers cost them dearly—without those mistakes, they would have won.

On the flip side, Western Kentucky has been playing well. Aside from a 63-0 blowout loss to Alabama, they're 3-0 straight up and against the spread, with wins over Eastern Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, and Toledo. That tough loss to the Crimson Tide seems to have motivated them, as they've outscored their opponents by 64 points since then.

I see a classic letdown spot for Boston College after celebrating a win they were expected to achieve. Meanwhile, Western Kentucky has already faced challenges this season as 14-point underdogs. I love the number and situation for the Hilltoppers.
