System play incoming!
Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes head to Orange County, Florida, after defeating Baylor in overtime. Entering week 5, the Buffaloes are hitting their stride, having rolled past Colorado State and narrowly edging out Baylor. Now, they face a team known for its explosive offense: the Central Florida Knights, who aim to extend their three-game winning streak while trying to rain on Colorado’s parade.
Can Colorado carry their momentum from last week’s victory into Orange County and take down the Knights? Or will UCF dominate by running the ball down their throats all game long?

The Stank:
Oh, Colorado, what are you doing? Storming the field after beating unranked Baylor as two-point favorites? Nowadays, winning in overtime seems to justify storming the field, regardless of the opponent’s ranking. Just look at Washington State, which stormed the field after defeating unranked San Jose State in double overtime as two-touchdown favorites.
We used to know when it was appropriate to storm a field (or court). It should only happen after upsetting a ranked opponent. If that game meant so much to your school and program, I’ll gladly fade you the following week.

Especially considering the program has no defense and is coming off two emotional victories. While beating Colorado State may not seem significant, it meant a lot to them, and the off-field comments from Colorado State players have lingered in their minds all season.
Now, Colorado must head to Orange County to face an offense averaging 537 yards per game, ranking fifth in the nation. Central Florida’s ground attack is among the best in the country, averaging over 300 rushing yards per game in the early weeks. The Colorado defense is in for a rude awakening; they currently allow 329 yards per game overall and 148 yards on the ground. This will be the toughest opponent Colorado has faced this season, particularly with the formidable rushing attack they’ll encounter.
After two emotional wins in recent weeks, I believe they are due for some regression and a significant wake-up call against Gus Malzahn and the Knights.
Line Movement
The line for Central Florida continues to rise, opening at -11 and now climbing to -14. If it goes up any higher, it might be worth waiting. The public has been enamored with Colorado, but while they have a strong offense, their defense will likely be their downfall. At -14, it’s a solid number for those looking to fade Colorado. However, if you’re leaning the other way, patience is your best strategy right now.
