Stanford vs #17 Clemson Predictions
Stanford is coming off a big outright victory over Syracuse last week as nine-point road underdogs. After that win, they flew back home to the West Coast to start school. Remember, last week I mentioned their focus was solely on football, but now they have classes to juggle before hopping on a plane again to face No. 17 Clemson in South Carolina. That’s a lot of miles in back to back weeks. People often forget these kids are student-athletes with responsibilities beyond football.
I’m all in on Clemson this week—don’t let the number scare you. The Tigers steamrolled NC State last week, winning 59-35 as 17-point favorites. They racked up 523 total yards, averaged 7.8 yards per play, and forced three turnovers on defense.

Clemson’s offense is impressive, currently ranked 15th in the nation with 474.3 yards per game. Both their run and pass games are in the top 40, averaging nearly 200 rushing yards and 285 passing yards each game. Since their loss to Georgia in Week 1, Clemson has been on an absolute tear—they look really strong.
This will be the toughest opponent Stanford has faced since Notre Dame back in November 2023. The number doesn’t concern me—they proved themselves last week, and they can do it again against a team traveling cross-country for the second time in two weeks. The Tigers are on a roll and aiming for another ACC Championship. Give me Clemson.
