The weekend is approaching and College Football is back for a full weekend slate! We've got our NCAA Football Week 5 Preview full of the betting odds and some best bets for the action on the gridiron!
Let's discuss this massive slate that spans Thursday through Saturday!
NCAA Football Week 5 Best Bets
Here is how we stand on betting CFB through four weeks of play.

Friday Night NCAA Football Lights

Saturday NCAAF Picks
#22 Florida @ Kentucky
Matchup Information
- Venue & Location: Kroger Field (Lexington, KY)
- Date: Saturday, September 30th, 2023
- Kick Off: 12:00pm Eastern
- Broadcast: ESPN
The Pick: Florida ML (+100) BetOnline
Now, if you tapped in to my early odds preview you might have snagged the Gators at +3 and +130 on the ML like I did.
Nevertheless, at this point I would advise taking the Gators to get the outright win for even money.
Kentucky is 4-0 and has beaten teams by an average of 22.5 points through four weeks, but next week they travel to Athens and take on the #1 Georgia Bulldogs.
The Gators are newly ranked after winning three straight games including an upset over #11 Tennessee. This Gators team is feisty, and I have to back my guy, Graham Mertz.
Since transferring from Wisconsin, the KC native has a 77.8 completion percentage and has thrown for 951 yards and 4 TDs. Trevor Etienne has added 2 TDs and 329 yards on the ground.
I love the Gators this week, and am very happy we hopped on them early!
#24 Kansas @ #3 Texas

The Pick: Kansas/Texas Over 62.5 (-110) Bovada
Once again, beating the line movement was to our benefit!
Early this week we snagged this line at 61.5 and I did not expect it to stay there very long.
Across the rest of the market, this line is 63 or even 63.5, so go ahead and play it at Bovada for 62.5. Personally, I'd probably stay off if it hits 64.
These teams can flat out score. The newly ranked Jayhawks are scoring nearly 38 points a game, and are giving up nearly 25 to FBS opponents.
Kansas can score, but they can't stop anybody.
We might see this game hit 70 total points, because I do not see Kansas being able to stop Texas. The Longhorns should blow out their visiting opponents, but it wouldn't surprise me if Kansas covers the 17.
I'll just bet the over and root for offense on both sides.
Iowa State @ #14 Oklahoma

The Pick: Oklahoma -20 (-110) BetUS
I locked in 19.5 for 2U earlier this week, but I think the Sooners win this by 3 scores. They played a weird game in Cincinnati last weekend, and still covered the 13, winning 20-6.
Back at home, some may think the Sooners are looking ahead the next weekend when they take on Texas. Personally, I don't think so.
This is a get right game for the Sooners, and this is the perfect opponent to do it against.
Iowa state is 2-2 this year, losing 20-13 against Iowa, and 10-7 against Ohio in their only road game. They won a tough conference battle against Oklahoma State last weekend 34-27, but I think they struggle on offense against the Sooners.
Oklahoma's defense has 8 interceptions and 3 forced fumbles, including a pick 6. Iowa State QB Rocco Becht has thrown 3 picks in 4 games, and I think he gets eaten alive in Norman on Saturday.
