After their incredible win against Notre Dame on Saturday, BYU turns the page and hopes to avoid the upset against Central Florida. BYU is currently ranked #2 in the AP Poll which is their highest ranking since they won the national championship in 1984. Will BYU improve to 7-0 and keep their #2 ranking or will they have a letdown game as seemingly so many teams do after a huge win?

NCAA Football Expert Insights: BYU vs UCF

Bear Bachmeier and BYU are #2 in the AP Poll

A lot of people were high on BYU coming into the season because of all the returning production they had coming back including their Quarterback, Bear Bachmeier. He may wear #47 as a jersey number, but don't be fooled this guy is one of the better QB's in the country. A true duel threat signal caller who currently has over 1,200 yards passing and 9 passing touchdowns combined with 284 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns.

Kalani Sitake, BYU's Head Coach has done a really good job building this program and this team. They are tough, physical, play good defense and move the ball methodically on offense.

UCF on the other hand is offensive minded led by their coach, Scott Frost. Keyone Jenkins will make his 5th start on Saturday filling in for the injured Alonzo Barnett III at QB.  Jenkins has done a decent job at QB so far, but this will be his ultimate test going up against a good BYU defense.

BYU vs UCF Prediction: UCF Wins, UCF Covers, Under 42.5

Best Bet: UCF +6.5 (-102) and UCF ML (+211)

This is one of the best spots we will get all year in College Football. BYU off their massive win vs Notre Dame, one of their biggest in the last 40 years. Now they have to travel from Provo, Utah to Orlando, Florida and try and regroup and beat UCF.

We have already seen a couple times this year when Ole Miss beat LSU and Georgia beat Alabama both of those teams came out flat the following weeks. Ole Miss went to the swamp the week after beating LSU and got smoked, 52-28 by Florida. Meanwhile, Georgia had the big win over the Crimson Tide and then lost outright as a three touchdown favorite to Auburn this past Saturday. Teams can talk about how they're "turning the page" and "moving on to the next game", but in reality it's a very difficult thing to do. That's the challenge BYU has in front of them this week.

There are three other things UCF has going for them coming into this game other than the obvious of fading BYU off the Notre Dame win. The first thing is UCF is coming off a bye week. Just like Auburn was going into the Georgia game. UCF is fresh, rested, and watched BYU upset Notre Dame and now gets to go play them. The second thing is BYU is 6-0 against the spread this year. Just one of two teams in the country to cover every game. At some point that's going to change. The third thing is the home field advantage. UCF's home stadium is called the bounce house because it can get really loud and is a tough place to play when they pack the place. With the #2 team coming to town I would expect that building to be jumping.

So there you have it, all the reasons why I like UCF to cover the spread and win the game outright. As impressive as beating Notre Dame was, I'll be just as impressed if BYU covers the spread in this one vs UCF. For a team not being in the national spotlight and being this highly ranked that often the thing I want to see this week is how they handle success. UCF has upset on their mind and we will see if they can pull it off.
