The Big 12 brings us a top five battle on Saturday in the Fertitta Center as the No. 2 Houston Cougars host the No. 4 Arizona Wildcats. This could essentially be a showdown to decide who ends up as a top seed in the NCAA Tournament, and we are in for quite the treat. After suffering two straight losses, Arizona bounced back with a big home win over BYU, but now face the second ranked team in the country. Can they figure out a way to win on the road against Kelvin Sampson's squad. Explore our CBB expert picks below and find out.

#4 Arizona Wildcats vs. #2 Houston Cougars NCAA Basketball Insights

Can Arizona take down Houston on the road without Koa Peat on the floor?
Both teams sit at 11-2 in Big 12 play, with Iowa State and Kansas right behind them at 10-3. Not only could this game decide who gets a one seed in the tournament, but it could also decide the regular season conference champion. The stakes have never been higher, and we get to find out what these teams are truly made of.
Houston has had a couple extra days of rest, as they were beaten by the Cyclones in Ames on Big Monday. Will that extra time off come into play in this one? Arizona will certainly try to push the pace, but they will still be missing freshman Koa Peat, who helps their front court on both ends of the floor. How will they respond without a guy putting up 13.8 points, 5.4 boards and 2.6 assists while shooting over 54% from the field?

#4 Arizona vs. #2 Houston NCAA Basketball Picks and Predictions

Kingston Flemings has 10 games with at least 20+ points this season for the Cougars
Arizona vs. Houston Prediction: Houston Wins and Covers, Over 139.5
Best Bet: Arizona/Houston Over 139.5 (-110) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I jumped on this early, as the rest of the market is hanging 140.5 or even 141.5 on some books. I expect the public to buy into the over, even with the pace that the Cougars play at. Each team scoring 70 is certainly in play in this game, and I expect them to go back and forth putting the ball in the hoop.
Yes, Houston's entire identity is defense, but that didn't slow down the Cyclones. Houston only scored 67 points in Hilton, and it clearly wasn't enough to get the win. Without Peat on the floor, I expect the Cougars to be more aggressive at attacking the hoop, trying to get center Motiejus Krivas in foul trouble early, making the rest of the game easier if he has to sit out for extended minutes at a time.
This could be our first look at a potential Final Four matchup, and it should be appointment television for anyone who loves college hoops. Arizona doesn't shoot too many threes, but they get to the rim and the Cougars are north of 285 in FT Rate defense, so expect plenty of free throws from the visitors. While defenses might be the difference maker in this game, offensively we should see both teams show out, as freshmen Brayden Burries and Kingston Flemings try to lead their teams to a hard fought victory.
