Raptors vs Kings Prediction, Picks & Player Props (1/25/23): Will Sacramento’s home hot streak continue tonight? cover

The Sacramento Kings are one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now, and they will be looking to pick up their eighth win in their last nine games as they host the Toronto Raptors at Golden 1 Center.

Tonight’s matchup between the Raptors (21-27, 6-15 away, 12th in the Eastern Conference) and Kings (27-19, 16-10 home, 3rd in the Western Conference) is set for a 10:00 pm ET (7:00 pm local time) tip, and it has a lot to live up to.

When the two teams met in Toronto on December 14, the game was not decided until the Raptors’ final possession, with the Kings holding on for a wild 124-123 win.

How will things play out in the rematch? Read on for our Raptors vs Kings prediction, as well as our betting picks and analysis for tonight’s Toronto vs Sacramento matchup.

Stellar Sacramento Seeks Yet Another Home Win

Tonight, the Kings will be aiming for their second straight win and their eighth win in their last nine games.

Last time out, they torched the Memphis Grizzlies 133-100 on Monday.

The Grizzlies were without Ja Morant and gave up 47 points in the first quarter, but it was only a seven-point game with ten minutes remaining. The Kings then clearly determined enough was enough, as they finished the game on a 30-4 run from that point.

The win was Sacramento’s seventh in eight games, during which time they have won five of six at home.

Only one of the wins, a 118-113 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder last Friday, has been by fewer than 20 points, and the only blemish in this period is Saturday’s 129-127 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

In their 7-1 run, the Kings are 6-1-1 ATS, and they are 6-1 SU and 5-1-1 as a favorite in this stretch. This season, they are 19-5 SU and 14-10-1 as a favorite, and that includes marks of 12-1 SU and 7-5-1 ATS as a favorite of five or fewer points, which they will close as tonight barring some wild line movement.

Toronto Raptors vs Sacramento Kings Prediction and Picks

Raptors vs Kings Prediction: Kings to win

Raptors vs Kings Picks: Kings to cover (Best Value: -3 @ BetRivers) & Kings team total over 120.5 (Best Value: FanDuel & Caesars Sportsbook)

The Raptors snapped a three-game losing streak with a 125-116 win over the New York Knicks on Sunday, but they are unlikely to open their seven-game road swing with a win tonight.

This season, they are 6-8 SU and ATS against Western Conference foes, and as an underdog, they are 11-8 ATS but 6-13 SU.

Just as we did in last month’s matchup in Toronto, we should see a lot of points tonight in Sacramento. The over is 7-3 in the Raptors’ last ten games, and it has hit in each of their last six road games, while it is 6-4 in the Kings’ last ten games overall and also 7-3 in their last ten home games.

Toronto Raptors vs Sacramento Kings Player Props

  • Domantas Sabonis over 18.5 points (Best Value: FanDuel)
  • Domantas Sabonis over 40.5 points + rebounds + assists (Best Value: BetMGM)

In the first meeting between these two teams, Sabonis had 21 points, 20 rebounds, and seven assists, one of three times this season that he has had at least 20+ points, 20+ rebounds, and 7+ assists.

In Monday’s win over the Grizzlies, Sabonis had 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists, recording his sixth triple-double of the season, three of which have come in his last five games.

Look for him to fill up the stat sheet again tonight, and I’m looking for him to provide a little more scoring in the process. In the previous four instances he scored fewer than 15 points, he had 24, 23, 20, and 25 points.
