Sweatpant Jesus

The red hot New York Knicks roll into the other Garden tonight, in Boston, to take on the Boston Celtics in a Eastern conference showdown in the NBA.

Two of the most historic franchises in the NBA will go head to head, as both of them will look to continue their push towards the playoffs.

The Knicks have won 8 games in a row and 9 of their last 10, and have climbed all the way to 5th in the East.

Tonight, they get a run at the 2nd place Celtics, coming off of an embarrassing home loss to the new-look Nets.

It should be a fun one tonight on ESPN and below you will find everything you need to watch and bet on this game!

Prediction

If you like playoff atmosphere basketball, you are going to want to tune in to this one tonight on ESPN.

The Knicks are on a fantastic 8 game winning streak and won their last game in Miami in dramatic fashion. Check it out…

It was the cherry on top of a fantastic game, to give the Knicks their 8th win in a row and keeps their confidence growing ever higher.

Tonight, they get a chance to make it 9 in a row against one of their Eastern conference rivals, and this game to me feels like a chance to make an even bigger statement than just winning 9 in a row.

The Knicks just dismantled the Celtics 109-94 at home a week ago, and while that was a big statement game to the Celtics and the entire league, a win in Boston tonight would be an even bigger message.

The Knicks are serious contenders.

The jury is still out for many on the longevity of this Knicks team due to a myriad of reasons but the numbers right now just don’t lie.

The Knicks look poised to do some damage in the playoffs and quite possibly be a serious challenger to represent the East in the Finals.

Tonight would further solidify that stance and also, give the Celtics a bit more work to do over the last portion of the season.

Can the Celtics be Dominant Again?

The Celtics have to flush their last home loss to the Nets and come in tonight and put in a solid performance.

For their own morale, first and foremost, but also to not give the Knicks and the rest of the top of the East a chance to see visible weakness.

The oddsmakers are giving the Celtics a lot of respect in this matchup by making them 6 point favorites and frankly, I don’t get it.

It is possibly due to the fact the Knicks star PG Jalen Brunson is questionable in this game but even without Brunson, I like the Knicks to hang around.

With how well the Knicks are playing right now, even with the revenge factor for the Celtics, I think this game goes down to the wire.

Give me the Knicks to cover the 6 points and show that they are not just here for a good time, but they are here for the long haul and possibly more.

Let’s cap this off with Tatum and his chance to have another big game on the glass.

Tatum has been awesome on the glass, with 10+ rebounds in 4 of his last 5 games.

His only miss in that stretch was a week ago against the Knicks, when he had possibly his worst game of the season and was ejected in the 4th quarter.

He still finished with 7 boards and I expect him to come out aggressive in all aspects of the game tonight, shooting, dishing and most importantly, on the glass.

Celtics Center Robert Williams is also out tonight which is another reason I love Tatum to have to crash the glass hard.

While he only had 7 rebounds in the last game against the Knicks, the game before that earlier this season he grabbed 14 rebounds.

There is really nice value on the ladder as well, with 12+ and 14+ looking like fine small unit plays.

Bonus: Tatum 12+ Rebounds (+180)

14+ Rebounds (+390)
