The San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs are under the national spotlight for their series finale on Sunday. Despite the visitors outscoring their hosts 20-6 in this series, it is all tied up at one game a piece. This series has taken place at Wrigley Field, but they'll meet again next weekend at Oracle Park. However, a winner in this matchup must be decided on Sunday Night Baseball, so let's check out our favorite MLB picks to wrap up the week!

Heliot Ramos and the Giants are trying to win this series in Wrigley against the Cubs

Like I said, in terms of aggregate score, the Giants have the advantage. They scored 18 runs on Friday afternoon against the Cubbies, before losing in the 10th inning on Saturday night. The Cubs were able to squeak out a 3-2 victory, much lower scoring than the 21 combined runs we saw in the first meeting. What will be the case on national television?

Both teams are tossing out right handed pitchers to try and lead them to victory, but with their inflated statistics, I'm not sure they will be helpful. Trevor McDonald and Jameson Taillon have a combined ERA of 9.63, although their average WHIP of 1.21 is decent. Regardless, it is Sunday Night, and if you followed my bets from last season, we might have to bring back the Sunday Night Baseball system play.

Bring the juiced balls back! Last season, we cashed a ton of overs on Sunday Night Baseball, and I'm leaning right back into the theory. You have a nationally televised game, and let's be honest, these aren't the two most attractive teams in Major League Baseball. How do you get fans excited for the game and glued to their screens? Easy…. Let them score.

It is certainly in the MLB's best interest to make their very few nationally televised games as entertaining as possible. Sure, some purists out there love watching a pitching battle. And if Jacob Misiorowski and Shohei Ohtani were facing off, I'd be much more hesitant to back runs. However, the general public loves watching offense, so I expect the MLB to provide on Sunday Night.

McDonald has allowed 12 earned runs in his last three starts, losing all three of those contests. Taillon has been just as bad, allowing 18 total runs in his last four starts, including nine home runs, at least one in every outing. Not only that, but he had a 6.66 ERA during the month of May, and I see his struggles continuing at home against the Giants.
