The New York Yankees finish their regular season series against the Kansas City Royals tonight at Kauffman Stadium, and if I'm New York, I'm wishing we played the Royals every single night. Not only have the Yankees won the first two games of this series in Kansas City, they swept the Royals at Yankee Stadium in mid-April. And none of them have been particularly close. Can the Royals find the gumption to compete in this season finale against the Yankees? Peep our MLB picks below.

New York Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals MLB Betting Insights

Noah Cameron pitched six scoreless innings in his last start at the K
New York now has won all five games against the Royals this year. They've covered the run line in four of those wins as well. Kansas City's problem all year long, and especially against the Yankees, has been their offense. Or lack thereof. This team is scoring just two runs per game against New York, and tonight against Gerritt Cole, I'm not sure much is going to change.
Cole just had his first start of the year, allowing only two hits and three walks in six scoreless innings. Against the Royals' bats, he should have no problem shoving, even on the road. As for the Royals, they are starting Noah Cameron. The southpaw hasn't had the best year, but his splits do improve at home, giving me some extra confidence in his stuff tonight.

New York Yankees vs. Kansas City Royals MLB Picks

Ben Rice and the Yankees have had no problem scoring against the Royals. Does that continue tonight?

Back the under at Kauffman with me! We have seen just three of the five games between these ball clubs stay under nine total runs, but in the two that went over, the Yankees scored 13 and 15. That's enough of an outlier for me to ignore and back the under tonight.
Like I said, the Yals are scoring just two runs per game against New York, and over the course of the season they put up just 3.84 per game. Not great. They hit much better at home, and even against right handed pitchers, but their team average is down during the month of May. I see Cole doing his thing on the road tonight.
The Yankees actually hit lefties better than righties, but again, Cameron pitches better at home. His 4.72 ERA drops to 4.05, and his 1.45 WHIP down to 1.41. Nothing extreme, but it still proves he is better at Kauffman. Plus, he is coming off pitching six scoreless innings against Seattle at home, allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out eight batters. I trust his current form enough to keep this one relatively low scoring, especially after the Yankees went for 15 runs last night.
