We've got plenty of MLB action all day long, so take a look at some of our analyst's favorite picks on the diamond today. Yesterday, we went 2-0 after the Red Sox walked it off in the bottom of the 10th, and the Snakes produced plenty of runs for plus money. Let's carry those winnings over to today's slate as we have three more picks to keep up entertained.

Chicago White Sox vs. Athletics MLB Picks

Get in and get out by backing the Athletics on the first five run line with me today. Basically, we are fading Eric Fedde. Plain and simple. The Unaffiliated Athletics of Sacramento already play in a Mickey Mouse ball park, so scoring runs is much easier than anywhere else in the league. Eric Fedde has lost all three of his starts this season, and the White Sox were losing after five innings in all of those games as well.
While Luis Severino hasn't been incredible this year either, the White Sox don't give their pitchers much run support, as they hit .198 on the road this year. Give me the A's to make a statement early.

Back the Braves to come out hot at the Bank. Both teams are tossing out a lefty named Chris to take the mound, but one team hits left handed pitching a lot better than the other. Atlanta is red hot, winning three straight, four of their last five and seven of their last nine overall. While their batting average does drop slightly when on the road, they still hit .275 against LHP so far this season.
Now the Phillies have lost three in a row and seven of their last nine games, so they are trending in the opposite direction. Not great. Plus, not only is this team hitting just .227 as a team, they are batting .179 against lefties this season. We're not overthinking this. Just trusting the numbers that the Braves start off hot against the southpaw they face today.

Always line shop for the best odds on the market, especially in baseball where things fluctuate so much. We're backing the Snakes tonight at home. Last night, they came through for us by going over their team total, tonight I'll back them to win by two. Arizona ranks in the top 10 in the MLB in terms of batting average over the past week, and Scherzer has been getting shelled.
Not only will this be his first start on the road this season, but he is also coming off giving up eight earned runs in just 2.1 innings to the Twins. Yes… eight runs in just seven outs. Scherzer allowed five hits, two home runs and walked two batters on his way to allowing that many runs. He's lasted just two innings in his last two starts, so why should I expect anything different against a team that is clearly heating up?
Arizona has now won three straight, four of their last five and seven of their last eight. While their splits aren't as good as they were against lefties like last night, I still trust this team to shine at home and repeat last night's performance.
