Sunday closes out the weekend and gets us all ready for another week in the office. But before then, let's see if we can't make a little extra money on today's MLB slate. All 30 teams are in action as we have 15 games to choose from on the betting board. We were unsuccessful in finding a winner on the diamond yesterday, but we are still up plenty of units this season. Let's keep playing with house money and see if we can turn things around with our favorite MLB picks for Sunday's action!

Atlanta Braves vs. Baltimore Orioles MLB Picks

Drake Baldwin is currently on a four game hitting streak, batting .273 overall this season
Braves vs. Orioles Pitching Matchup
- Atlanta Braves: RHP Reynaldo Lopez (4-3, 3.95 ERA, 1.36 WHIP)
- Baltimore Orioles; RHP Shane Baz (4-9, 4.05 ERA, 1.37 WHIP)
Best Bet: Braves ML (-110) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Even with Atlanta being on the road, I will back them at basically a pick 'em to beat the Orioles tonight. For starters, Baltimore needed a walk off to beat their visitors last night, winning 3-2. Shane Baz is on the bump for the hosts, and he has not picked up a win since early June of this season, losing three of his last six outings. Plus, I wouldn't expect him to get much run support, as the Orioles are only hitting .230 as a team since coming back from break.
As for the Braves, they are 29-23 on the road this season and their team batting average increases from .250 to .256 against right handed pitching. Finally, they are ripping pitchers apart since coming back from the All Star Break, hitting an incredible .286 as a team. Look for them to get create some runs off of Baz on the road today, resulting in a win that steals the series. Although Lopez has lost two straight, I think he can fend off the Orioles for a few innings.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. New York Mets MLB Picks

Emmet Sheehan gets the nod tonight against the Mets, as the Dodgers look to complete the sweep in New York
Dodgers vs. Mets Pitching Matchup
- Los Angeles Dodgers: RHP Emmet Sheehan (4-7, 5.13 ERA, 1.27 WHIP)
- New York Mets: RHP Freddy Peralta (5-9, 5.01 ERA, 1.46 WHIP)
Best Bet: Dodgers -1.5 (+102) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
I found a plus sign for the Dodgers run line so we took it and ran. Los Angeles has now won four straight on their East Coast road trip, beating the Phillies and Mets, covering the run line in two of those contests as well. We are going to back them to get the sweep tonight at Citi Field.
The Dodgers are just the much better team compared to the Mets. New York is in last place of the NL East, sitting 18.5 games out of first, and even nine games out of fourth. Their season is all but over at this point. The Dodgers lead the NL West by a large margin, and show no signs of slowing down. Sheehan has lost two of his last three outings, and only has one win since May. However, I expect him to get back into the swing of things tonight against the Mets who hit just .233 overall as a team, and .225 since the break.
Make sure you get plus money for this wager. Our new BN Prediction Engine has the Dodgers ML fairly priced around -152. The books are hanging -162, so I can only assume we are getting some value on the run line at plus cheddar.
