San Diego Padres vs. Philadelphia Phillies MLB Picks
Cristopher Sanchez leads the MLB with a sub 1.50 ERA this season. Will he shove again tonight?
Padres vs. Phillies Pitching Matchup
- San Diego Padres: RHP Walker Buehler (3-3, 4.88 ERA, 1.32 WHIP)
- Philadelphia Phillies: LHP Cristopher Sanchez (6-2, 1.47 ERA, 1.12 WHIP)

We were burned on the over last night, so now we're flipping the script. All four games between these teams have stayed under 7.5 total runs this year, and now we have two studs on the bump. Buehler has been ripped apart this season, but he allowed just two runs on three hits in 5.1 innings against the Phillies in a loss last Wednesday. Tonight I think he has a solid start despite his away splits.
For the Phillies, we have Cristopher Sanchez, who has been one of the best in baseball. The southpaw leads the MLB in ERA and ranks top 30 in WHIP, with improved splits at home. In eight games at the Bank, Sanchez has a 0.85 ERA and a sub 1.00 WHIP as well. Plus he went the entire month of May (five starts, 39 innings pitched) without allowing a single run.
The Padres' bats slightly improve against lefties, but not enough to move the needle against this ace.

The Yankees have only lost consecutive games four times this season. I have all the faith in them bouncing back at home tonight, as Gavin Williams has worse splits on the road. But I'll back them in the first five, as Geritt Cole has been unbelieveable.
He is making just hit third start of the year, but he has yet to allow a run, has lasted at least six innings in each outing, and averages almost a strikeout per inning. The guy looks fine coming back from injury. Tonight he shoves at home and the New York bats come alive early in order to win the first five innings for us.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks MLB Picks

- Arizona Diamondbacks: RHP Zac Gallen (3-4, 5.16 ERA, 1.47 WHIP)

Let me preface this by saying I don't hate the Dodgers team total at over 5.5 for plus money either, but I'll take some help from the Diamondbacks at home. Here we are basically fading Zac Gallen. He does have improved splits at Chase Field, but history says he doesn't pitch well against the Dodgers.
He already saw them back in March, where he allowed four earned runs on just five hits in four innings, including two walks and a home run. On top of that, he hasn't had a good last month. Throughout his six starts in May, Gallen allowed 27 total runs, 24 earned, in 30.2 innings, including allowing two runs in all six, and at least four in four outings as well. He posted an ERA of 7.04 during the month, and tonight I see him having a rough day at the office.
This season, two games have gone over nine runs, two have stayed under, and one has had exactly that number in five meetings between these teams. Tonight I think we are in for some fireworks, especially with Ohtani not yet facing these Snake hitters, and their team batting average climbing nine points at home.
