Happy Saturday, everybody! It's a beautiful day for some baseball, and I've got a few bets to dish out for today's card.
We're coming off a 1-2 effort on Friday night, thanks to the Dodgers blowing a late lead, but I'm feeling good about a bounce back, so let's dive into my favorite MLB picks and predictions for Saturday, April 25.
MLB Picks and Predictions for Saturday, April 25

Athletics vs Texas Rangers
In the Lone Star State, Game 2 of this three-game set takes place between the Athletics and Rangers.
The A's captured Game 1, winning impressively, 8-1. Tonight, they look for another win with southpaw Jeffrey Springs leading the charge.
The left-hander has been solid through five starts, sporting a 3-1 record, a 3.34 ERA, and a 3.90 xFIP. There's much to like about his game at the moment, including a .211 BABIP, a 41% ground-ball rate, a sub-1.00 WHIP, and a low hard-hit rate of 31%.
It gets even better when you realize how poor the Rangers have been against lefties since the start of April, ranking dead last in wRC+, OPS, and ISO.
Meanwhile, the A's lineup will also be going against a left-hander, with MacKenzie Gore set to take the bump for the home team.
Gore has been fine, but there are some gaps. He has a 4.15 ERA, a 4.71 expected ERA, and a 4.44 FIP. His xFIP does show promise at 3.09, but his 24% HR/FB rate, 48% hard-hit rate, and 17% barrel rate suggest otherwise.
The Athletics haven't been much better against lefties this month, but if we narrow the sample to the past two weeks, there has been some improvement at the plate.
The visitors have a clear pitching edge and a slight offensive advantage, yet we're getting plus money on them. I'll gladly take a stab at the underdog in this spot.
Pick: Athletics Moneyline (+119)
Pittsburgh Pirates vs Milwaukee Brewers

An underachieving Brewers team looks to turn the tide and snap its three-game losing streak at home against its division foe, the Pittsburgh Pirates, this evening.
They're in a quality position to do so, as their stud flamethrower, Jacob Misiorowski, is set to start for the Brew Crew.
He's lived up to the hype after a strong rookie season. Through five starts, he's posted a 3.04 ERA and a 2.79 xFIP, while logging a 27% strikeout-to-walk ratio.
The Pirates' offense has been fairly steady, sitting in the above-average range against right-handers, but Misiorowski is a different beast. It's hard to generate quality contact against him, and that's where Pittsburgh lacks, ranking 21st in ISO against RHP this month.
Milwaukee's offense hasn't been that impressive, though, but perhaps it can come alive against a familiar arm in Mitch Keller.
The Brewers have wreaked havoc against the 30-year-old, as he owns a 1-7 record with a 5.31 ERA in 12 appearances against them.
This feels like a strong spot for Milwaukee to get back in the win column.
Pick: Brewers Moneyline (-136)
New York Yankees vs Houston Astros
Pick: Yankees Moneyline (-146)
