There's only a few Sundays left without any NFL on our screens, as baseball still rules the month of August. However, our football experts continue to drop nuggets over at Betting News, so peep the scribbles to get ready for this upcoming season. Nevertheless, we've got plenty of MLB matchups on today's card so we dove into the slate and found our favorite picks. Find out where our coin is going below.

Baltimore Orioles vs. Texas Rangers MLB Picks
Wyatt Langford and the Rangers are looking to complete the sweep against the Orioles tonight at home
Best Bet: Rangers Team Total Over 4.5 (+113) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
Back the Rangers to go over their team total with me at Globe Life Field this afternoon as the Rangers host the Orioles. We've only seen this happen in three of the five head to head contests between these teams, but with these two starting pitchers, I think we have a shot.
Cade Povich starts for the Orioles. He just pitched six shutout innings against the Angels in his first start since May, but he still gave up seven hits, and it was the Angels. Now he faces a real offense, one who hits left handed pitchers for .253 this season. Plus Texas has won four in a row and are 32-26 at home this year, while Baltimore is a measly 24-31 on the road.
Now, for the Rangers, Kumar Rocker is starting. His splits get slightly worse at home, and he just gave up three earned runs on 10 hits to the Astros in just 5.1 innings. I'll take his efforts completely out of the equation and just back the Rangers to score. They've scored at least five runs in three of their last four overall. This team is also fighting to climb back to the top of the AL West, as they currently sit half a game behind the Astros. Look for Texas to come out fired up, ready to secure another win to end the week.
Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks MLB Picks
Eduardo Rodriguez has led the Diamondbacks to 17 wins this year. He is responsible for 10 of them.
Dodgers vs. Diamondbacks Pitching Matchup
- Los Angeles Dodgers: LHP Justin Wrobleski (11-3, 3.31 ERA, 1.07 WHIP)
- Arizona Diamondbacks: LHP Eduardo Rodriguez (10-4, 2.71 ERA, 1.24 WHIP)
Best Bet: Diamondbacks F5 +0.5 (-125) Lucky Rebel Sportsbook
The Diamondbacks are at home, and are facing a left handed pitcher. However, because their opponent is the Los Angeles Dodgers, I opted to pivot a bit from our normal system play. Instead of backing the Snakes to win this game in nine innings, I'll just take them to be tied at the end of five innings. Shouldn't be too hard with Eduardo Rodriguez on the mound.
The lefty for the Snakes is coming off arguably his worst start of the entire season. He allowed five earned runs on 11 hits in just 5.2 innings to the Padres on Tuesday. Overall, he has been one of the best pitchers in the league this season. Rodriguez has even seen the Dodgers twice this year, giving up just nine total hits and one earned run in 11 innings with eight strikeouts as well.
I've told you all season how good the Diamondbacks are at hitting left handed pitchers. Well tonight, let's see that theory in place as they rip apart Wrobleski whose splits certainly take a dive on the road. All we need is a push after five innings to cash our bet.
